It would be nice if it were true. Why go out of your way to make a completely new item when they could have just made this synth do a higher yield of prism powders instead?

Only one way to find out. Who wants to be the test subject?

I'm at work so I can say this without being a hypocrite but isn't this about the easiest thing in the world to test? Chop chop.

Yeah really, if I wasn't at work I'd go test this in about 10 seconds on a Zdei in Sea.

    Look at it this way...

    Prism Cape (HQ)
    Rainbow Cape (NQ)

its probably just meant to be a cheaper synth.

Actually, I was thinking more about Taruses in Uleguerand Range, or the Orc NMs in Monastic Cavern. (Zedi may be true sound aggro.)

Maybe they want you to be able to navigate through TAU with these powders, but don't want to break CoP with them.

If the new merits are any indication, Rainbow Powder is probably just a slightly weaker Prism Powder. Maybe a little shorter duration, etc.

my buddy and I tested it on TS mobs, he died diddnt work. It doesnt have a full party effect. But what we did find out is: it lasts exactly 3mins every time you use it. Making it a better Prisim Powder

Lol, I'm getting away with selling them for 10k each, or 100k a stack. Heh heh heh.

But it does block truesight mobs. I ran around in Caedarva Mire fine to test it out.

I bought 2 and tried one in Sacrarium while doing exp scroll. With sneak and the powder on it did nothing against true sight Taurs. Later on tried one in a party just in case it had some kind of invisible-ga effect which it doesnt. As far as endurance it lasted no longer than a Prism Powder. So either it only works in ToAU areas or hes just saying that to make people want to buy these.

Somebody try it against ToA true sight mobs, i.e. Wamoura. That is the most logical guess for me considering Wamoura Scale is a main ingredient.

Even if it was only effective against the god damned MIRROR GUARDS that'd be enough for me to spend 100k a stack.

    Mirror Guards - 8, Suiram - 0 orz

    Wamouras are true sound.

I walked near imps (true sight) with the powder and it worked. So, I don't know what people are doing. Besides, the wamoura scales are hard to come by, so I really have no idea why Square Enix would have another form of prism powder when we already have it.

Maybe it makes true sight mobs agro distance shorter... and not unagro completely.
