I'm sick of seeing in half the thread on BG that LOL the sash went to a sam, when people can't even put up a good arguement as to why it should go to another job. The only conclusion I can come to, is that sams just suck on every other server. Frankly, I've only been outparsed by 1 ninja I've ever xp'd with, and sam is argueably the best melee to have on hnm. It's easy to rag on the person who worked hard for something, because they don't think he deserved it because of his job, but you guys just don't stop to think about it at all.

I'm sorry but I also fail to see your point on SAMs needing Haste. In my LS, I have never seen a SAm complaining about needing more Haste than a NIN or say WAR for TP gain. Also, I have never seen him cry about losing a Haste+% piece of equip.

I'm also 100% sure that most SAMs use Shura Haidate. Instead of Byakko's haidate.

Even without the spell haste, I still out parse ninjas, and end up tanking decent chunks of the mobs. I also don't see why sams would wear the shura over byakko's. For ws, yes, but for tp gain, why?

I don't think they did. I don't blame him for lotting it, but trying to say it's more useful (or AS useful) on a SAM than any other job is really, really stupid.

And Map, your 15 minutes of fame are long since over. You can get over the fact you have a ninurta sash any day now.

Your 2 points weren't any good at all. Your first point was that sams don't need haste, cause they can get tp else wear. You fail to realize that with more haste, sams can get even more tp. Your second point you never defended, and have failed to bring up an instance where subtle blow is a factor in a fight.

I don't interject in every thread about the sash. Infact, I pass up almost all the cheap shots you guys try and take at me or my shell. Here i'm finally standing up to your guy's beligerance, and you have not lived up to talk.

im 1000% sure every sam who doesnt have byakko haidate wants one.
and im 10000% sure if a sam had byakko haidate, he would have used it for TP gain over shua haidate anyday.

I remember Map's case. Nor trying to sound rude or anything, Map, just trying to prove a point. Map is a Leader of his Sea LS, so naturally he had one of the most attendance points. When his LS beat AV, a NIN and Map /randomed for Nirnurta's Sash; Map won.

This was posted a long way back in the thread, but I figured I'd address it here - it was not a roll-off between Map and a NIN, it was a roll off between Map and a DRK. The closest person with NIN leveled up was pretty far behind. The closest person who played NIN regularly was nowhere close, as I recall. Imagine the reaction if the lolDRK had won though.

As for helping the shell, the only thing we use blink tanks exclusively on is Hope, everything else is tanked interchangeably with PLDs or PLD preferred. Also, considering that we only meet twice a week and the shell is made up of people from multiple HNM shells, utility-to-the-shell arguments are somewhat reduced in magnitude. So even though we're lootwhores, we still manage to have some fun and get stuff done, and everyone who attends will eventually get what they want. And its not like Sea is crowded like Sky, so our lootwhoring ways aren't hurting anyone else on our server who would put these items to more noble use.

I didn't say the sash made sams better on my server than on others, but apparently there are servers out there wearing shura over byakkos. Would a mnk wear shura over byakkos?

No, my first point WAS NOT sams don't need haste. My first point was that they see diminished returns on haste compared to other jobs. Now I'm thinking that sash went to waste because you're a fucking moron because I've said this in about 10 different ways and you still don't get it.

And my second point was completely valid, and you dismiss it because you think mob tp gain doesn't make a difference. Newsflash: just because you have ninurtas sash does not make you arbiter of what is or is not important. You must spend too much time TPing on adds and not paying attention to how much mp is spent to repair the damage and ailments from gregale wing.
