its not about spell intupt rate, there are alterintives to this belt, that I totaly 110% agree with, speed belt is one. But if this belt were to go to someone it shoulda gone to a NIN. I agree again its a epeen item, but again, it shoulda been on a NIN. If map had 15x the points or what ever he had over the NIN thats cool congrats on the sash map. Wear it as Epeen but dont try and justify it being greater then every belt in the game, dont go into random threads [like this one] and brag about it.

It is "greater" than every belt in the game for anything but WS for every melee.

But yeah, our sams never get switched in and out to just dump TP, we leave them in the whole time, so it would get use there as well. As it would be useful for just about any melee DD, except mnk and rng, obviously.
Most suited for NIN, but still a top tier item for any melee.

Yeah, if you were informed on the topic you so vehemently argue you'd know that his LS had a tiering system, and no NIN had anywhere close to the points Map and another person did, so they both randomed for it.

A Mars's Ring did drop, and map did not lot it, it went to someone else in the linkshell.

Ironically, it's Map that probably should have got the Mars Ring.

Now that I'll LOL at. Map's own arguments basically have said that he valued the atk and haste on the belt only. While he may not have had a speed belt, it is something within the realm of attainability, certainly more of those than Mars Rings at least. And a Mars Ring would be one of the nicest pieces for a Samurai. It's a quite common practice for Samurais to TA+WS onto tanks for wyrm fights, and 8 atk and 8 acc is going to absolutely outweigh getting TP slightly faster outside of alliance or in it. I realize the accuracy bonus over current gear is just 1, but it's also 2 more attack than the 'uber' sash. And using a Flame Ring instead of a Sniper's+1 for a TA+WS seems a bit silly, unless it's on a Ronfaure Rabbit.

Heh, it's all pretty funny how upset people get about these items though. FFXI gear is all about the slightest upgrades. If a Ninja had a speed belt, and then someone loaned them a Ninurta's Sash, probably no one would be able to notice. Spring for a higher quality food than you normally use or get a bard with minuet merits, and a speed belt suddenly is as good as ninurta's sash for the 'useful' stats.

If you're still arguing what job the sash is best for, then you should look down at bloody carcass on the ground that you're beating. It was once a horse if you couldn't tell.

the same can be said with a LOT of gear in this game. there's very little gear that would make a difference, even if parsed (due to randomness of the game) vs other gear. this game is about having what others dont, epenis, and so on.

Map's stupidity reminds me of an older brother of mine.

My older brother is like 30, and a video-game hermit. Moreso than myself, he doesn't even go outside and interact with people outside of his job as a bus-boy.
