Sad too, I was almost completely in agreement with him on his post when I first started reading... As I said before I never really cared about the whole Map and Sash stuff, and I don't really doubt that he didn't deserve it. But, then he couldn't have made himself look like anymore of a self-absorbed asshole for the remainder of the post.

First of all, sorry if this comes off cruel but I don't think you've really earned the right to say you're the first to pioneer and 'kill the unkillable.' You merely copied another linkshell's discovery of an exploit, and abused it to the fullest. There's nothing 'unkillable' or even challenging about an oversized Aern stuck beside a wall that's unable to attack anyone while it's zerged by BLMs. The most recent kill that was a topic on this forum (thread is still going) deserves way more recognition IMO.

I'm not going to try to say it wasn't any kind of an accomplishment, because it certainly was. Either way it was the first kill to be executed, and it does take a lot of time/luck/commitment to get to the stage of popping AV. But, IMO it was far from as amazing as you buff it up to be. Just about any of several linkshells at the same stage at the time could've easily done the same, it's just that you were the first to willingly kill it with the exploit.

I'd also go with you're far from the most renowned player.. A renowned player is someone that people look up to, ask for advice, trust, respect, and praise. It's not just about your accomplishments, and even if it was then news flash, one amazing item doesn't make you a god. I'd wager that there's a great deal of better equiped players if that's what this is about, I hate to brag but I already count for one (and hey look I don't have to let everyone know)... But in either case I'm doubtful that many of those qualities apply to you, as shown by the responses in this thread.

Sure, you get a lot of attention for it and probably are known by a good deal of people, but so does Saddam Hussien (no, I'm not comparing you to him, just an example). Having a lot of attention doesn't automatically mean you're a star, there are good kinds and bad kinds. I'm pretty sure this is more of the bad kind.

I take offense to that. Sure, Map is narcissistic and posts on forums just to get people riled up. Sure, he might not understand the intricacies of WS dmg like RK and aurik. But he also did a good thing(tm) on Titan by bringing people together from different linkshells to try to accomplish something great.

We farmed sea when no one else on the server had done so. We posted our experiences on the KI thread that Kaylia is talking about. We contributed information on BG threads and later on the wiki from firsthand experience. If that's not enough then Ban me now.
