Attachments?

How many people took PUP to 75 before the last update? There are probably less than 20 70+ PUPs across all the servers. So blaming them is not really going to amount to much. It is far from a popular job. As for the attachments being higher level drops, why not just put them in the ICBCNM 60? I understand the point that they do not want to have low level PUPs with these items but if they want to encourage trading, how can there be any when:

a) there is rarely more than 4 or 5 lvl 60+ PUPs on at the same time to organize any trading (On Fairy, almost all of them are Japanese as well)
b) If they are placed on the AH, a lvl 2 PUP can buy it for xx million because he is a crafter, IGE customer, HNM whore, etc, thereby screwing the other 60 PUPs who really need to use the pieces to be more effecient at high levels but cannot acquire them.

i understand how hard it is, i can see that ppl arent winning with valouredge or harlequin, and have to hope and pray for the rng or mage frame, then pray some more they win, then pray some more for a drop. But ok thats fine, lets have SE change it so GS or dirty JP LS farms the mob/NM that drops it~ all day long. Or hey, we could let the PUPs get their own awesome items, pat their own backs for the work it took to get them (I KNOW YOU WILL ENITSU)- and not have to compete with other people for stuff they cant even use.

would be awesome if i had those kinds of opportunities, but then again, i dont like asking people for help on something that benefits me only

Are you saying that we shouldn't exp our PUPs between ENM runs? That once we hit 60, we should just stop and wait potentally 4 months to maybe get all attachments before going further. I love exping PUP at 64 but I also love to do the best possible job I can and I know without these attachments, I cannot. I am working very hard to dispel the damn lolPUP stigma and this isnt helping.

No, I still think you're stupid. When something finally drops the first thing I'll say is, "YOU BETTER HAVE FUCKING PUT OUT YOU CHEAP SLUT"- this doesn't have jack shit to do with how fast I level. If it takes me 5 months (random time it'd take to acquire a few attachments) to go from 60-75, then HOLY SHIT.

I dunno about you, but when I think of PUP, I think of "tearing through levels".

Ok, imagine WHM was a new job. All it can do is Banish, Protect, and Shell people.

Then, SE puts Cures I-V in the ENM60 Pulling the Strings. What do you get?

You're gimp Lv.1-59, and you probably want to be useful before you pass 60. So, you do the ENM, get the Fantoccini to 5%, and it rolls Benediction. You lose, try again 5 days later.

Next time, he's a wuss, but you don't even get so much as a Worm Mulch. Try again 5 days later.

See where I'm going? The blockade on PUP's usefulness isn't worth the superficial decrease in the likelyhood it's monopolized.

im saying you shouldnt be so hurt by the fact that~ as you blaze through levels, you miss out on getting certain things that take time. This ENM is one of them. Think about it like skilling up, you take extra time to make sure everything is capped before going to the next level. People that go "too fast" cant cap - its not a really good analogy because the attachments dont have level requirements, i dont know if im getting my point across.

maybe if you still tried to enjoy PUP like you did before mioko made this post about his findings on his ENM attachment instead of acting like your butt hurts because someone on another server has something you dont...sounds nasty but i dont see anything else that explains what i see. Continue to be the underdogs while you level, nobody said you had to have all 8 attachments when you dinged Lv60, and if anyone knows anything about this ENM, i dont think they'd hold it against you if you didnt have them all by the time you hit 75.

Racial ENM has had great items for certain race/job combinations, but i dont remember people making such a fuss about them because the droprate was bad and the timer was 5days...then when you got a drop, congradulations on deciding which of the 3 ppl got it.

i didnt mean level off of solo enm, i meant ppl should look at it as a healthy addition of exp to their leveling bar, and not something solely for items, but no other job but PUP got nearly as great items from it. ITS SO BAD /crymore

Sorry Nirokun, but your reasoning has fallen way off. There is not one ENM 60 drop that makes your job significantly better like these do. Your analogies are not correct. First of all, the words PUP and tearing through levels DO NOT go together. Second, why should any PUP want to have show off these attachments? We are called lolPUP for a reason. You think having an Attuner will make us more attractive to an exp party? Good luck. Thirdly, I am taking my sweet time leveling my job. Just because I want my PUP to have items that will allow me to perform well in a DD spot does not mean I am a spoled brat. Maybe you should try leveling PUP and see.

This post is made of ADAMANTIUM STUPID apparent to even me, who doesn't have PUP unlocked.

You don't. Fucking. Get it. These items, all 8 of them together, close the gap between PUP and other melee significantly. That's a minimum of 6 weeks to be useful to a party assuming the attachments have a 100% droprate, which they don't, and won't repeat drops, which they will.

Question, did you guys actually get parties to even get to 60, or whatever semi-high level you are? I solo'd until 38, seeking the entire way since 30, and not one invite (just random LOLPUP /tells). I've been seeking as 38 while trying to solo for a few days now, still no invite. I can't solo anymore (just EPs for 25-30xp a kill) and I can't get invites.

Just curious as to how you guys even got to where you are, perhaps I don't know how to solo at this level.
