i'm 33, using /mnk atm since martialarts 2 kicked in and i got cestus belt. When should i switch to /war? at 50?
are there any lvls where trying to solo makes any sense at all? or small groups? i duod on worms til 25, but grinding with noobs in the jungles got me down.
I thought berserk was overrated, untill...Originally Posted by Elcura

I wasnt even using the best of foods, but I had minuet, and I was in love. And I'm guessing I can break 800 with correct food/minuet. I died 3 hits later when I got smacked for 300 and couldnt get shadows up, so I know it'll hurt but in camps like Caedvera it's gonna be amazing, where you're basically perma silenced and my DoT should technically kill it faster than it can rape me :D
Anyway, yesterday I took my war back out and started to level it, lol. Ding lvl18

Its amazing stuff.
btw im not going to tell you that the ram's zerk is probably more powerful than normal zerk.
Wow, is the Aura Steal text really butchered that bad?Originally Posted by Lordwafik
Edit: lol wafik is poor
I think it's 50%ATT -50%DEF? I've absorbed Catoblepas' Zerk with Voracious Trunk and I think that was how much it gave. So yeah it is pretty strong.Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus
yeah i'm pretty sure that Ram zerk is nuts, my def normally doesnt go that low with NQ zerk, but still fapfapfap me wanty.
Other end of the spectrum but a good chunk of the mob buffs are pretty crazy. The gear is kind of random because I just slapped on what had the most defense out of what I was carrying. No food or anything, just straight up pugil defense boost.Originally Posted by Lordwafik

Stop hijacking this precious thread you stupid thieves. >![]()
Pssst.. I'm helping you pup by telling people how hawt berserk is :D
Most PUPs will hopefully figure this out on their own and realize that post 60 its pretty much /war or bust in xp parties. You can get away with just about any sub pre 60, but after the skillcap difference takes effect you can't get away with any other sub, at least not without being a leech. /mnk might seem nice, but it doesnt matter if you hit faster with 90% acc if you're doing 20 dmg per fist and 150 dmg WSs. Sub war, eat sushi, and try to find a bard that will pay attention to parses instead of the "lolpup" stigma floating around most forums.
The further I get (hit 68 today) the more it seems that the tier III attachments are going to be a requirement, and not a luxury. My damage with the Attuner is higher than just about every other melee hit-for-hit (was farming earlier today with some 75s and Clank was even hitting harder than them on the mobs), but its accuracy sucks without a Target Marker. The Att/Acc attachments are most likely going to be worth a premium in the months to come, the ENM60 is such a pain in the ass that I'd gladly pay a high price to bypass it for certain attachments.

Exactly. This is why I still think PUP got semi-screwed on this shitty-drop-rate, 5-day-wait ENM for the so-called "tier III"s. The items most melees lust after (Ridill, E. Body, etc) are just icing on the cake, if you ask me. They are great (and complete) jobs without these items, unlike PUP (while still decent, which most people ignore) seems to be lacking something in comparison until they get very lucky with Pulling The Strings.Originally Posted by doofy
Who knows, maybe an automaton geared with all possible attachments (Attuner/TargetMarker/TacticalProcessor) will wreck a HNM harder than any melees can. Someone post some data for stuff like Attuner or whatnot vs Besieged NMs or something of the like. Although I admit, not having Target Marker, makes parsing a bitch. I'm still very curious about Tactical Processor... I've got my fingers crossed for tomorrow when my ENM timer is up.
Indeed. I think the term requirement is the ideal word for these pieces. The fact thought that maybe 4-5 PUPs besides myself do the ENM, its going to be very hard for any lvl 60+ PUP to be all they can be. I'd liken the situation to a 65 war exping with lvl 40 axes.
Because they're too cheap to spend the 300k for an on-level axe?Originally Posted by Toth
Have some patience and wait for the market to slowly build up. Remember that the early adopters generally pay huge premiums (lol blu AF...)
I agree that the market will stabilize but who knows. I just checked the AH and the tier IIs are still going for 300-500k, with many sales every day. Note to SE, this idea didn't work. Too many people are willing to pay the price gouging.
Hi my name is practically required gear for mnk and sam.
300-500k is cheap.
We aren't talking about luxury items, Aurik. Monks can get to 75 easily without these. Getting PUP to 75 without those attachments is not (though newer equipment has helped the PUP at least).
No, any sam or monk that goes 34->75 without kotes is pretty gimpy. Just like a PUP without II attachments, apparently!
Hi I want to be a WAR/SAM/DRK
You just have no concept of the price of being a melee DD.
