With those three attachments your automaton's base MAB is 1.25 (as opposed to the 1.15 it was without the mana channeler on page 46 of this thread). Each maneuver, ice or water adds MAB+10. Additionally, as you said, each ice maneuver adds INT+2.

Few things~

1) I just got my Tacticlol Prlolcesslolr... That makes 4 drops out of 8 wins. Not too bad considering now I'm 4/8 on Tier "III"s with no repeats yet, although I know I could use the money another Attuner or Target Marker would bring in. Beggars can't be choosers.

2) I brought Mandarin to Kirin today as Valoredge. Although I, myself, couldn't really hit for beans (only lv.3 Hand-to-hand merits and no Faith Torque yet) Mandarin's accuracy was around 50% for the beginning and as Heat Seeker slowly kicked in, at the last 30% or so of the fight, its accuracy was more like 90%. With generally 2 fire maneuvers and 1 thunder maneuver on for the majority of the fight (sometimes 3 fire), it was hitting for 15~55 dmg per swing, and crits for 60~80. Not toooo bad of DoT but one major problem with PUP being DD is that automatons complete lack of a high damage WS like just about every other melee job has, especially being able to guarentee crit with Sneak Attack. Chimera Ripper is like a normal melee hit and String Cutter tends to be around a crit hit in dmg. Pretty damn weak. Although she Shield Bashed a few Great Sandstorms and a spell or two~ ;D! Looks like BRD for Kirin from now on~ ;(

P.S: Someone asked for my personal ENM strategy in PM so I wrote him/her up one and saved it because it was pretty in-depth. S/he thanked and suggested I post it, but it's been pretty much covered here and there throughout this thread by Enitsu/Tahgrothor/Toth/myself/etc but not really posted in one solid chunk, but if you want it, PM me and I'll copy-paste it to you.

Yeah, with the Stormwalker head + Harlequin body strategy, I am 5/8 on the enm. However, no matter the strategy, remember that the ENM is extremely luck based so don't be discouraged if you lose. I'd like to know the effect merits are going to have on this (more maton skill damage, less repair time, and howling fists from hand to hand merits).

edit: Mioko, try to find other PUPs who need the pieces to trade rather than sell on the AH. Some idiot 74 PUP was trying to sell a Drum Magazine for 2 million the other day and I was trying to trade an equalizer for it. He said he rather have money than attachments. SE made these attachments not ex for a reason and I am sure they wanted PUPs to trade with other each. Yet this PUP had no qualms in trying to sell it to the highest bidder. It's a shame. Also, another Attuner on the AH failed to sell three times. I knew who the seller was and he couldnt get 2 million the last time. Aside from the idiot I am, few people will put much value on these pieces.

only the h2h merits would work in lvl cap, the others are pup job specific and only work at 75

howling fist does work better than raging against fantocinniman in my experience

Howling Fist will put up better numbers post 60 on just about everything, especially on Fanto since its only 2 hits he can guard instead of the full 5. Even in xp howling will put up better numbers post 65 due to the attk/acc issue with PUP.

As far as buying attachments goes, its just like every other melee job. There wont be a market for them for quite some time, short of a few intelligent people who realize the benefit of Marker/Attuner. A lot of people who have PUP leveled now either dont care (bitch about their puppet's dmg while only using TSI) or are doing the enm60 every 5 days and bitch about losing ("But I took 5 hi pots and lost, this enm sucks").

On Asura there are maybe 10 pups above level 60 and only 2 above 70 (the other person was 72 last time I asked) so our market is virtually non existant atm for T3s. Short of random people asking for my doubles ("I can't win the ENM, can I have your Attuner for 100k?") no one looks to buy. Im more than willing to trade T3s, but not for a f'ing stabilizer II. I'd glady pay 2M for a Drum Mag, at least with our economy. Speaking of which, if any of the PUPs on Asura read this thread wtb a Drum Mag for gil or trade an Attuner/Target Marker.

The fight really is a joke now, at least for me. I still load up on the same meds, but I barely use half of them now. Clank has also started doing almost 50% of the dmg to Fanto after tweaking the attachment loadout. The last fight (Harlequinn pop) was a 2128/1851 split and was over in less than 4 minutes.

ya, it was a toss up between raging fists and howling for better dmg when i was lvling mnk

but on pup howling fist seems to be the clear winner in every party i've had since i got howling

btw pup with full merits gets dragon kick at 69... so far its outclassing howling fist but still not super impressive

back when i was leveling monk (before SH on monks was the norm, hell, before most NA's even had their first harness), with the 35+ish hard accuracy, howling fist beating the living hell out of Raging Fists. Although then again most of my parties were on IT+ instead of vt+/low it. So for a pup, magnify that. <3 howling fists

Be careful about generalized statements like that. There are many PUPs I know who know what they are doing but keep losing. It is a luck based ENM and just because you have had a relatively easy time with it does not mean other people do. Not everyone also has 30+ free item slots or gil for tons of potions either. Just keep that in mind.

I beat solo ENM on my first attempt way back when and it dropped me Drum magazine. I then went on a huge losing streak before I had won again, but got no drops. However, Last week I was happy I as able to buy a Attuner on AH yet was kind of upset for the on going losing streak. Because of this I sent a PM to miokomioko for the strat he had used, and it worked great. He did a great job of describing all the possibilities and how to win at each. I won the BC by killing the PLD frame and making him cast a Ranger frame next. This was sweet fight in the end and sweet drops thx again miokomioko <3

Not really a generalized statement, and its this mindset that makes me say "wtf" when people ask about strats. Its just reached a point where I get hammered with /tells as soon as I log regarding the enm, people dont listen, lose, and then bitch about how "It's impossible, you must be cheating". I either need to fraps my fights or something because I've had to deal with every so called "impossible" issue with the enm and havent lost. Multiple Valoredge pops, Harlequinn pops (no idea why people have an issue with this one at all), bene dice rolls, tp rolls, etc. The only event that can cause a fluke loss which cant be dealt with is the one person I've heard (BB&C) who for whatever reason ate a 900 dmg Raging Fists from Fanto.

Regarding the "expense" of the enm60, unless PUP is your first job to 60 and you can't do Assaults (pots are basically free if you do these regularly) there's no way this can be called expensive. Even if you carry both Elixirs and have to buy your pots thats only about 300k total every 5 days, which is nothing. The drop rate is a crapshoot, which I agree is worth bitching about, but this enm isnt the "impossible fight" people are making it out to be. As time passes more and more people who pay attention seem to be winning on a consistant basis without issue, including people who initially were 0/3+ whining about how "impossible" it is.
