    Bump~

Just found an Eraser on the AH for 1.5mil

    5/8 Tier IIIs :O~

With a light maneuver on, if either you or your automaton have an enfeeble effect on, it will wipe all maneuver effects off, and erase 1 enfeeble off either you or itself. Priority is on the automaton if you both have a status ailment. Recast on it is pretty quick, seems faster than Flash recast.

    That is all, carry on.

[edit] jesus christ, these new pages...

So it is an ability, does the puppet do the broke ass/reused mob 2hr animation with it or does it just wipe the ailment? Also, does it seem to remove everything other than Doom or is there anything else that it wont get rid of?

It uses it like a JA, identical to the animation from Flashbulb, though the recast -feels- significantly shorter than flash but I can't make any promises, I didn't test it too extensively. I had assumed some others had already done this since, I think, Enitsu got an eraser a while back.

    "Mandarin uses Eraser."
    "1 of Mioko's effects disappears."

...or something to that effect. It doesn't mention the maneuvers, they just all disappear at once.

It seems pretty open so far on what it will erase, I could go test it on Taurus later. So far it had no problem wiping Poison, Bio, Dia, Bind, and Flash status effects.

I've had one for a while. The only thing it's known -not- to remove atm. is Doom. And it cant remove amnesia, if for no other reason than you can't tell it to use the eraser if you are affected, and it cant obey your command if it is affected.

Thanks for the info, Mioko. That item definately seems like it can be of some use. On a related note, on Fairy, the tier 3s have been going for around 1.5-2 million on the AH so that looks like that is going to be the set prices for a while. Still no Tarket Marker alas but hey, no biggy.

Quick question: How may merits do you need to have in Hand to Hand before you can get Howling Fist for the PUP60ENM? I just got my second merit in today and I rather not do the ENM until I can use HF there.

    Assuming it's a flat C (which I thought I remembered reading) you'd need 5 merits to get 200 skill.

I have Lv.5 hand-to-hand mod at the moment. I'll let you know for sure when I enter the ENM tomorrow evening.

HF isnt going to make a big difference, and you might miss or half miss with his high evasion.

Got equalizer from ENM today, which brings me up to 3 of 8 ENM attachments (eraser, attuner, equalizer in that order) :D havent had a chance to test it yet but I havent really seen any testing in this thread so I'll let you know, though the description makes it sound sort of like the equivalent of attuner for defense- reduces damage recieved accoridng to damage taken- I read this as the higher the damage done to the automaton, the more defense/damage reduction it recieves from the attachment.

    @ 2 posts above- thats correct. C= 225 @ lv75 (learn dragon kick @ 225)

Worm Mulch today. I wish I could beat the living hell out of these game designers. Everytime this job cheers me up, there's another letdown right around the corner. I guess this really is a shelf job.

Edit: To make my night complete, I found out the biggest douchebag on my Server (no joke, ask Ryko ) bought an Attuner the other day. She's a 45PUP/DRG and a complete airhead/moron. I am lost for words.

Its more that this person in question is a notorious MPKs, shouts her phone number in Jueno, is a BCNM thief, and has GM 'friends'. She also has a BLM and I manaburned with her once and she came to camp wearing a shaman's cloak at 73 with the worst gear possible. In other words, the trash of our server.

Personally, I want to try PUP/DRG in the future. It looks fun

10 wins now and my first double drop.

Equalizer + Mana Channeler bringing me up to 6/8 tier IIIs.

I haven't tested Equalizer at all yet because making it tank and take large amounts of dmg is a lot more involved than killing bumblebees... Actually just thought of an idea, I might just go force it to eat 1000 needles.

Mana Channeler is my first repeat and I'm hoping I can overprice it for some local retarded 41 PUP/DRG to buy off the AH :D

If people are seriously losing at this ENM, they are definitely doing something wrong, because this is the easiest crap ever.

And yes, Lv.5 hand-to-hand skill mod gives you Howling Fist at lv.60. It did about the same dmg as Raging Fists has been doing for me on Fantoccini though, not a really difference since you're not going to get a double attack on it.

If you're on Kujata I want to trade this Mana Channeler for a Drum Magazine or Smoke Screen... but I doubt that will happen :/

    Ding ding ding

Edit: Mioko, do not say its the easiest crap ever. Please. I use the same exact strategy as you and still I have only won 5 times and have had 2 wins turn to losses because of one lucky dice roll for the mannequin. And yet I have only gotten a whooping two pieces when you have gotten like 6. You have been exceptionally lucky so please don't put down those PUPs who are struggling mightly to get drops. The highest drops any of the PUPs on my server has gotten is 5, with a whooping 3 Attuner drops.

I know I've been extremely fortunate as far as drops go, but I'm solely talking about the difficulty of the fight.

I've had my share of Benediction Dice and 3 valoredge pops in a row, but the only thing that's almost made me lose was my own stupidity in forgetting to equip Strobe.

Filling your inventory with hi-potions is not expensive in any way and can definitely mean the difference between getting slaughtered and pulling through. If you do assault ever, you should have at least a couple tanks that cost you nothing. If you have to buy them, you end up getting 40 hi-potions for about 20,000 gil. Now consider you most likely will not use all of them, if at all, and can resell each individual one for like 2,000~3,000 gil each. I make profit on my unused potions after the fight...

Food shouldn't even be mentioned because anyone leveling the job should have some regardless.

Icarus wing is probably the most expensive thing there is for this at 25,000~30,000 gil and I'm almost certain there is a repeatable quest in Bastok Metalworks that grants you one, that Bait and Switch quest. Hell, I get too excited sometimes and forget to use some of my items and still have a clean fight.

You would really have to be a complete nub at the game, or just flat f-ing broke to consider the 50k expenses to be properly prepared for the ENM to be hard on your wallet... once a week.

Now, for dice rolls, that's the biggest variable in the lose/win ratio, in my opinion, but it's a lot smaller of a chance to get screwed than anyone thinks. The dice roll can land on 3 people in this fight, one is you, one is Fantoccini, and one is your automaton (not once have I seen it hit the Fantoccini's pet). That's 2/3 chance that the beneficial dice roll doesn't hinder you. That's not bad, also considering that of all the dice rolls possible, TP, HP, DEF, ATK, JA, 2HR, etc. the only one that will really affect the outcome of the fight if it lands on Fantoccini is the Benediction one.

Those are small odds that dice rolls will simply lose it for you, but frankly speaking you should be able to last that long by sharing hate, using hipots, maintaining proper maneuvers and so forth. TP is still a dangerous one but, I've learned to wait for the text "Goblin Fantocciniman readies Marionette Dice" before I use light maneuver so I get the nice message "Fantoccini uses Raging Fists but misses Mioko."

I don't consider frame he pulls out to be a danger anymore because it's 1/2 chance of a desirable one, and if it's not, it has like 400~500hp and after that it's even smaller of odds that he will pull out another undesirable one.

No matter how good the strategy or no matter how many potions, if you get very unlucky like me and have two valoredges in a row, you have a great chance at losing. There is only so much damage you and your maton can sustain. Of course, its sad how much of a joke this enm is if it calls a Stormwalker frame or even Sharpshooter.

I half-tested Equalizer, but it's time for Ouryu now so it's on hold :(

I put it up against Cactuars so I could get 1000 needles dmg consistancy.

Dmg taken from 1000 needles with Equalizer equipped:

    No maneuvers: 950 (5% reduction)
    1 Maneuver: 870 (13% reduction)
    2 Maneuvers: ???
    3 Maneuvers: ???

I'll update this later after this stupid wyrm. It's looking like Automaton Defending Ring, lol. Just unsure whether it only applies to physical dmg, or if magic is included as well, not as easy to test, perhaps I'll go in ballista with a blm sometime soon.
