Finally broke my slump and Eraser dropped today (along with mulch of course). Now I just need a damn Drum Mag to finish the set, then I can wait until Xmas when they finish the job. If anyone on Asura is selling a Drum Mag please contact me, sold my dupes (attuner/target marker) already so it'll be for gil only right now.
I also tried using an alternate strat just to see the difference. I tanked both mobs at the same time while using the VE/SW combo and it was still roughly the same, the fight just took longer. 3 harlequinn frames and 2 valoredge frames before it finally called stormwaker (damn thing tried to sleep me right away too). Fanto also decided to unload a RF on Clank before I was set up, but the result was still a comfortable win (used more pots than usual, still didnt need the elixirs).
Edit - For anyone else who has the Tact. Processor what are your avg cast times in between spells? There is someone on Zam claiming that his puppet casts as fast as 10s between spells, is anyone else having success using the Tact. Processor?
-Vyzrael (Asura)
I can't believe you won after all that. I doubt the Harlequin Body + VE head could survive all that. Looks like evasion tanking has advantages. Anyway to answer you question, I haven't used the Tact. Processor in a long time but I did have it equipped on my SW frame and I really did not notice any quickening of spell casting. I'll play around with it tonight and see if I can get any results.3 harlequinn frames and 2 valoredge frames before it finally called stormwaker
That's where I beg to differ~
I've had the unluck to run into a Valoredge>>Harlequin>> Valoredge before it activated a Sharpshot, and there was no way in hell I'd be able to handle all three of those while simotaneously tanking the Fantoccini for 50~70ish dmg per punch.
Which was my point earlier, I just don't see this fight being difficult if you know how to handle your hate, plan your maneuvers, and play it safe. I've gone in without Strobe, so I tanked Fantoccini the entire fight, Sharpshot was picking away at my automaton the entire fight as well, wearing it down rather quickly because Fantoccini probably got some Wind Maneuvers or something. Then he gets Benediction dice at 20% and I start from scratch. I still won because of 35 Hi-Potions and also, timing Flashbulb with Marionette Dice because if he got TP dice at the last second and would have killed me if he wasn't flashed. Not quite the worst-case-scenario, but it was bad.
I think, since the update that added these attachments, you could have entered about 12, maybe 13 times now. I'm on 12 entrances at the moment.
I lost first try because I activated before I entered like an idiot, so I don't count that one, heh...
Won the second time because I was lucky and got a Stormwaker first pop.
Lost the third time because I had no strat and Valoredge popped.
Won every single time since then because I have a solid strategy.
that's 10 wins out of 11 attempts. I just wish I could observe the fights of the people that are having trouble even winning. Because, in my mind, the only problem with this ENM is the apparently 50%ish drop rate on one item of a possible of 8 different items.
P.S. Grats Vyzrael, you're beating me by 1 attachment, argh~
P.P.S. Any Kujata puppetmasters~ trade me a Smoke Screen or Drum Magazine for this damn Mana Channeler that won't sell... or buy it from me ;[
Here's a tip that I thought was common knowledge, don't use tp on Fanto for any reason until you get an "easy frame". If you have +100 tp whenever Fanto resummons you wont really care what he summons at all. Each of his Autos have jack for HP and a single WS almost always wipes them out. Re-deploy onto the Auto, WS, switch back - Repeat until you get an "easy frame". An Ic wing will make sure you have 100tp for whatever he calls first, and the gap between re-summons is usually long enough to get 100 tp again.I can't believe you won after all that. I doubt the Harlequin Body + VE head could survive all that. Looks like evasion tanking has advantages. Anyway to answer you question, I haven't used the Tact. Gear set is also a balance between acc and eva while eating Carbonara. I have almost 1200 hp for this fight (Elvaan w/merits), and after seeing some people have as little as 700 I can see why some are having serious problems, especially if they keep trying to use the VE/VE strat.
-Vyzrael (Asura)
See, I don't get what you two are doing here. I have the best gear I can get for this ENM and I know what I am doing. However, when it calls a Valoredge, I take off maybe 35% of its HP with a RF (I ate sushi beforehand too). Maybe a bit more (45%) for the Harlequin. None of my RF 'finish' it off so I don't know how you are having no trouble with each frame. I usually have my Automaton tank the Mannequin while I finish off the frame but with the Harelquin, I usually end up losing about 400 HP and almost 600 from the VE from their attacks. Thus I have to use my potions up and watch Serenade waste a Cure IV on me. This is what has cost me about 3 wins (Thinking about it rationally, 3 losses isn't that huge a deal). Alas, because I have a ton of BLM, SMN, and quest items on top of my PUP gear, I can only eke out 16 potions per run. Maybe I should just buy some X-Potions for 9k each and fit them in instead?
Toshizo on Gilgamesh is bazaaring extra parts
Target Marker 5,000,000
Drum Magazine 3,000,000
... he's out of his mind! lol
There's, what, 20 or so PUPs? Over 60 there's usually never more than 5 at a time.

If it's bad, I engage it, deploy on it.
Then use my first light maneuver as I Raging Fists it so I start tanking it as it gets flashed.
Using a bunch of Hi-Potions pulls a surprising amount of hate, so not a good thing to do off the bat.
I don't wear evasion gear, I primarily wear accuracy equipment, HP in leftover spots.
I do have merits in h2h skill Lv.5, crit Lv.4 and TM Hooks+2, but I don't think that should bump my dmg that considerably against yours, (though I have no idea what your gear setup is)... because I'm taking a Valoredge down to like 35%hp in one WS of like 105~120%, and Harlequin down to about 20~25%hp. Since it's flashed while I melee away the last bits of its HP, I take very little dmg and rarely fall into yellow, which doesn't constitute wasting a Cure IV on me and a regen drink (persikos aulait) will take care of that before I take any damage again.
Not sure about the economy of your server, but my Target Marker and Attuner dupes went for almost 10M each. Of course these are arguably the best two out of the eight, but even the other ones float between 1-3M. I get spammed every day asking for more attachments, and some people have even started timing out my 5 days to within the hour.Target Marker 5,000,000
Drum Magazine 3,000,000
... he's out of his mind! lol
Since there's no real steady supply on these yet, and the drop rate blows, they currently carry a premium. I'd pay 3M for a Drum Mag to complete my set without blinking, but Asura's economy is the worst (ffxiah) so 3M really isnt much for long time players. I would also be willing to straight up trade any dupe for a Drum Mag, but with the current Asura crop of PUPs that could take months. Being stuck on this last attachment will most likely drive me insane, its going to take me a long time to roll the dice right for that one last attachment.
With how much frustration this ENM has for so many people, honestly put a price on what you would pay to completely bypass it. Or better yet, put a price on what you feel the trade off should be after having to deal with it yourself while the next round of pups will be able to buy some, if not all, of these. If this job was as popular as BLU or COR, or if the job was finished and usable at endgame, the price on these things would be absolutely ridiculous. Right now its still a select group of people who found the job fun, and will probably remain that way until the "Xmas fix".
Get enough acc so sushi isnt needed, and macro swap for WS's. Fanto and its Auto are on par with EM mobs (+/-) so you shouldnt need sushi to land hits. I also have maxed crit/str/hp merits but 0 h2h (thf main so dagger merits wont ever be touched). Carbonara is the perfect food for this (HP, Attk, Str, Vit, Store TP+6) if you have enough acc gear, and it seems like you do. It just sounds like sushi is overkill for your setup, so get some more attack.See, I don't get what you two are doing here. I have the best gear I can get for this ENM and I know what I am doing. Okay, thanks for the advice Mioko. The one thing I do not do is deploy Serenade on the Mannequin's Automaton. I usually let her attack and tank the Mannequin while I killed the pop. The next time, I will be sure to have her attack it as well, using Flash. I think that will help big time. With her damage, I am sure I will kill it much more smoothly. Bottom line is that I can win this ENM no problem. However, I really want to win this ENM no matter what it throws at me like you guys do. Sorry for being such a nag
As for the prices...W T H. Seriously. I will not buy any of the attachments save the Target Marker. As much as I loathe the ENM, I will continue to do it and get the other parts myself. To pay that much...is ridiculous. It shows you how desperate some people can be, even though these attachments do little to fix PUP's glaring problems. Imagine if they change this next update. Talk about egg on the face.
Edit: I will also switch to Carbonara and make sure this time I have my regen drink (I forgot it last time but it didn't matter as it was a cakewalk)

Eraser on 9/14 for 500k
T. Proccessors for 200k & 500k
Mana Channeler 100k then 400k, then 1.1 mil
Drum Magazines were the highest at 2 and 2.5 million
So I guess it's a Gilgamesh thing, but here 3 & 5 million is ridiculous
I can't speak for Kujata's economy as a whole, but (besides the 1 Eraser sold for 1,500,000gil to me) no other tier III attachments have been sold to anyone. Only self-sales followed by usage.
There seems to be a whole slough of lv.60~ish PUPs on Kujata, but the only 75s that I know of are myself, 2 other NAs, and 2 other JPs. Either the 60+s are just not winning much, not getting drops much, or something, because not much has hit the AH besides to set a sale history for the first time.
There are about 7-10 70+ PUPs on Fairy including myself and maybe 10 60+. Currently AH history:
3 Attuners (I bought the first for 3 Million (lol, 2 for the next, and 2.3 by that Poof ><)
1 Eraser (Last sold for 2 million)
1 Tact Processor sold (3 million)
2 Mana Channelers (3 and 2 Million)
1 Equalizer (1.7 million)
Nothing else has sold or been put up save the showing off bids.
All T2 attachments are 50-200K.
T3's are rarley sold.
Smoke Screen last sold at 1.5mil, four sales total.
Erase @ 3mil, 6total, 2 up.
Mana Channeller 1 sold, 2mil.
Target Marker 2 sales, 3mil.
Equalizer 3 sales 2mil.
Dum Magazine 1 sale, 2mil
Tactical Processor 3 sales, 3mil.
Attuner, 6 sales, 2mil.
Tip for the puppetmasters. Even if you finish getting the attachments that you need, keep spamming that ENM and horde your attachments. Christmas is only 89 days away. :D
Yeah but I hate gouging people![]()
Another win, another no drop. I can't stay positive with this job much longer. It seems all I can do with this job is complain about it and that sucks.
Might as well have a 54 page thread on wyvern names.
Y-Burns you mean*
lolbump
2nd real sale on Kujata AH was to me again... >_>
Found a Smoke Screen for 1,000,000 gil. I guess keep in mind Kujata's inflation has dropped significantly recently, I doubt any of these attachments will break 4~5mil, even for Target Marker.
Still trying to contact all these Lv.60 japanese pups running around to find a deal for a Mana Channeler > Drum Magazine trade, but... I swear, these fuckers are ghosts.
7/8 Attachments~ Vyzrael, you're on. >:E
P.S. 11th win, no drop! ;D
