Correct me if I'm wrong but I think miokomioko means the Claws are 2% bonus not all those items you listed above, but I dunno.

oh and I'd like to add, both repair kits stack the HP regen as well, 3hp/tick with just 1 light instead of 2 or 3 (7 with 3) throwing up a light once in a while further makes it easier to last the full 20min with no need to repair even in caedarva mire fighting flies some of the time.

Yeah, and all of this means you remove flash, erase, a decent h2h weapon, optical fiber, 5 acc and +crit. Not to mention you're using VE in the mire instead of SS, but thats a different issue.

Back on topic, if anyone actually confirms that these drop from the Ashu Talif series please post here which one it was and if you were actually on PUP.

Yeah, and all of this means you remove flash, erase, a decent h2h weapon, optical fiber, 5 acc and +crit. Not to mention you're using VE in the mire instead of SS, but thats a different issue.

remove a decent hth weapon? I'm pretty sure adaman sainti are a pretty (Dmg 18 delay 51 acc+2 eva+1) decent weapon. Only thing better is hades sainti. the +crit on the pah body is almost nonexistant.

SS is still in progress of being skilled up(@155) I did not start with it, and it is harder to skill up than melee (which any frame can skill) and magic. So sorry to dissapoint you. I dont have an optical fiber yet and I dont know anyone that does. And flash is not really that essential (however, flash instead of repair kit I, the adaman sainti can make up for this to have about the same HP)

The +HP attachments are worthless for any serious meripo, and to be honest PUP in general still is (this is still up for debate until people can test the 3 new attachments that could close the gap).

Look, if you want to keep trying to justify not having to spend 1k every 10 minutes or getting the P body fine, not going to get into a pointless arguement and derail. Do what you want with the job, doesnt affect my rep with it (or Mioko's, or any of the other +75 pups). As far as skilling the SS frame goes, take a day or two and level it, the difference in the Mire is substantial.

I didnt know until just now (checked ffxiclopedia) that wagh had accuracy on them... Gem baghnakhs would narrow that difference some and have a considerably shorter delay, though. You win on this one. (adaman sainti look soo much cooler though heh)

Why do people think ranged is so hard to level?

Everytime I hit a new level I maxed out all 3 skills... it was pretty simple.

Also, I got SS last at level 30. First thing I did was train it up to max instead of boo-hoo ing my fate.

+5 Acc and +Crit beats Puppetry body. I don't care if it's one extra crit a RL day, it's more accuracy and dmg. If that HP boost makes or breaks your robot's life then you need to redeem the warranty on that thing.

I went to Caedarva with SS and forgot my Lubricant+2 in the MH and I still had no trouble keeping Kintoki alive. Auto-Repair II is plenty for him to last 20min or more.

If you don't have Pln body yet, fine.
If you don't have new attachments, fine (I sure don't).
Get them when you can, take your time, go at your own pace. But don't denounce it all as inferior out of spite.

Pln Head is good, I would wear it over Optical Hat. I want to get that and the legs to complete my equip. Right now I'm settling for Optical/Turban and the new Vendor's leg piece.

Since we're talking about PUP, we're not talking about HNMs. PUP is pretty much exp-only at the moment, so that is the context of the following.

First of all, Puppetry Tobe vs. Pahluwan Khazagand is a joke. The [Max HP Boost] from Puppetry Tobe gives an attachmentless Valoredge Frame a total of +26 HP. With Auto-Repair Kit I & II equipped, the HP boost from Puppetry Tobe is +28 HP. Speaking about PUP body gear alone, I can't imagine why someone would use Puppetry Tobe over Pahluwan Khazagand if they have access to both. In regards to MP, I still laugh at the concept because of Stormwaker's nearly limitless MP pool when using and of the following combined with Mana Converter... Mana Tank, Mana Tank II, Mana Conserver, and Damage Gauge. +2% MP bonus is also not worth losing 5 accuracy considering PUP's low H2H skill they need to make up for in ATK and ACC, which is pretty much what it all comes down to.

Second of all, the same exact argument says that Hades Sainti are superior to Adaman Sainti because it's the same DMG/Delay but it's an Accuracy vs Automaton HP comparison.

Honestly, if you need to be wearing gear to give tiny bonuses to your Valoredge's already impressive HP because you're too cheap to toss out 1 Auto. Oil+2 every 20 minutes... something's wrong here.

Equipping Auto-Repair Kit I & II isn't bad because it doesn't inhibit your abilities for DDing (in which you actually outperform the Automaton, or at least you should be). The only drawback from using those two attachments is disallowing the semi-annoying/sometimes-useful Eraser attachment or Flashbulb.

I'm just blown away by 75 PUP(s?) trying to claim that Automaton HP bonus is more valuable for exping in Caedarva Mire than amounts of accuracy that people pay out the ass for in HQs.

I *never* said adaman were better than hades. never. I want hades, and I will the next time we kill cerberus. Saying that I like the hp buff on the adaman doesnt say anything about my opinion of hades / +1.

The whole idea was for the automaton to be the focus, but we end up focusing on ourselves anyway.

I dont see what you're getting blown away by. Its just a cheap way of keeping the automaton alive through aoe spam with less trouble. Is it the best? no. Did I say it was? no. Am I going to get a pah body? yes. Is it my immediate priority? No (I'm working on Pah head.)

But in the meantime Ill clear my head of everything I curently think about the job before I get flamed out the ass for this job too.

I've just stopped trying to argue for what the job "should be" and am only looking at what it is, and what it can do, which unfortunately isn't too much at this time. :(

I have to say I was really expecting some JSE or relic or something this patch... something that encourages the PUP to wear equipment that enhances the Automaton instead of their weak h2h skills.

I have high hopes for Optic Fiber though... definitely worth a 1-light slot if it's anything like I'm imagining.

Report on the Hades Sainti in a Meripo in the Mire:

Fantastic! With Sushi, I rarely missed and my WSes were decent. I never drew too much enmity to be in danger. Near the end of my time in the party, my sushi wore off and I was a bit tired so I didn't want to use another. So, I put on my O-Hat and got to work. I was shocked to see that I was hitting almost every single attack. Even without Sushi, my accuracy was excellent. So now, with my build of +45 accuracy with the Saintis, I am most definetely going to try Meat next meripo for further investigations.

Also, I am quite happy to hear those wonderful pants drop from the Ashu Talif assault. This means tons of people are going to flock to it and that of course means more attachments in the market. 200k each, yes, please

Is there any proof that they are possible rewards from the Ashu Talif missions?

besides my information from a person who self-sold and relisted that said they dropped from 2nd or 3rd BC, someone on Alla on another server found someone who had sold one on AH... traced it back to ffxi-ah and found that they were buying currency (for entry into BC) immediately prior to selling the attachment.
