I thought Equalizer decreases damage from strong mobs. Since Cactuars are TW now, wouldn't it do nothing to negate the damage caused by their attacks? I saw a test here a while back (Mioko's, right?) where the damage did decrease but couldn't that have been due to Armor Plate attachments?

Equalizer is a % dmg reduction, I tested it on 1000 needles with no other defensive attachments equipped. I think it was like 5% raw, then 9% then 15% then 22%ish, I forget the exact #s. Still don't know if it's physical only or both.

No maneuvers: 950 (5% reduction)
1 Maneuver: 870 (13% reduction)
2 Maneuvers: 730 (27% reduction)
3 Maneuvers: 590 (41% reduction)

There it is, even better than I remember. But those tests were right on the dot every time I repeated it, so Optical Fiber combined with those Equalizer tests could give you an idea on exactly how much it's affecting other attachment performance. I'm hoping it's like a permanent maneuver in each element just from having it on, making Equalizer -13% raw and >> -27% >> -41% >> -???% with maneuvers.

Wow...I am not sure if this happens to everyone else but I took Serenade out to the Thickets to fight some Colbiris and Spiders and I never saw my maton hit over 100 on these mobs like today. Almost 200 damage String Cutters too ( I keep hitting 76 even after the update). There is most definately an increase in overall power. I'm guessing a +10% increase in all abilities alone and maye 5-10% per light manuever. I am going to try to merit tonight to see the difference on VT+ mobs.

I helped out a few runs in The Ashu Talif mission BC so people can start doing the assault and I went in as PUP and with the usual 2 Fire + 1 Thunder, my Automaton was hitting for about 70~80ish melee hits (150 dmg crits) and did 150~200 WSs... on Ashu Talif Crew mobs, dunno of that counts for anything.

I'm definitely a fan of these new capacities btw. <3

Looking back over my log from one fight, with only 2 Fires, Serenade began to hit 100+ on the spiders. I tried to use get another Fire but overloaded. When I recovered, I used Light. Serenade's hit before the light was 67. The two hits after were 93 and 87. Then I stupidly overloaded again. I have tons of tests to run but just from a few mobs, I am noticing substantial improvements.

Also, on Fairy:
2 Reactive Shields (1 sold for 1 million)
2 Turbo Chargers (both sold but look like self sales)
1 Optical Fiber (to myself for 1.5 million (cost of duplicate attachment))
1 Dynamo (Ryko is selling for 1 million)

Not bad for only three days after the update.

I picked up a Turbo Charger, and an Optic Fiber from AH today. Good to know that Optic is a good addition! Yet to do my own testing.

Was there any merit to the whole 'drops being related to jobs' notion? i.e. need a PUP to come along for PUP drops.

This is poppycock, not one new attachment has hit our AH at all yet. And I'm sure even some PUPs might be interested in trading one of these for the more sought-after ENM60 drops like this juicy Attuner.

I wish there was some kind of bullitin board system type thing in town to advertise items for trade or sale, that'd be pretty nice to be able to write more than 3 short lines about what you want or have. It's kinda' hard to explain in /seacom that I have an Attuner on the AH for sale for a specific amount of gil but I'm willing to trade it even steven for one of the attachments that I do not have yet, being Drum Magazine, Dynamo, Reactive Shield, Optical Fiber, and Turbo Charger... not to mention I can't auto-translate those last 4 because apprently they don't exist on Kujata yet.

side note~ has anyone noticed these strange glitches that randomly give your automaton (whether it's out or not) stat boosts. I was just putting attachments on Valoredge and as I put my 3rd atk piece on, it got VIT+3. So I took that piece off and it went away. Put it back on, no VIT this time. Took them all off, then put Attuner on only, VIT+3. Put another piece on, VIT+3 went away.

I'm curious if this is just a display glitch or if it's actually getting these phantom boosts, because I've randomly looked at its stats and it's had a permanent CHR+3 regardless of maneuvers the whole time during dynamis before.

I've put on parts and had multiple +s and -s come up, and then nothing when I tried to repeat it. I'm positive the stat modifiers are meaningless.

Attachments are apparently obtainable in all three as long as you kill the NM for the ??? item. The ??? box is more common on 2+3 so far, but can still have stones/crap in them.

Just got myself a turbo charger, JP rdm who was doing the assaults got one and sold it to me for 500k, most of new attachments on Carby are 1mil or less, going to test it out right now, see what the dealio is with this ;x

Now there's 3-4 of each new part on the AH. I don't think we'll need to pay over a million after a week.
