Reports on Turbo Charger from KI say that the attachment gives no haste by itself but 3 wind maneuvers give around 50% Haste on melee attacks only. Casting and RA do not seem to be affected. Still, makes the Wind Fire Light combo somewhat viable.
I was playing with you. It was just funny that your sig/avatar highlighted 2 of the most currently loathed jobs.
FYI I'm a DRK
PUP isn't really a loathed job. It's just not that popular or useful as the others at the moment :D
I think ridiculed is a better word.
I totally agree. It more of a filler for parties atm. But come December time frame when the ToAU job adjustments come around I hope that all changes.Originally Posted by Toth

BTW awesome work on the thread everyone.
I know. I was gonna make some lolDRK reference, but least y'all have absorb-TP. I only have a couple of dolls and charm. XDOriginally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus
zomg... Amadeo(refering to the one from Alexander)... Ure A pup now lol???
I'm from Bahamut.
PUP is retardedly expensive for most attachements on my server...and not very many pups around o.O
Most of the ENM attachments on my server have gone down to 1-2 million which is still a lot for those things. I keep hoping they'll go down more because there really aren't a lot of PUPs on our server. The attachments from the Ashu BC are about 3mil+ right now. -.-
You would be on my server LucOriginally Posted by Lucresia

Prices will definitely drop. Overall there aren't many PUPs so eventually they will sell slower and slower. My server has about 3-5 of each attachment show up each day, and more and more people will be doing the fights. Prices already are dropping at least 100k daily, so expect them to be a lot cheaper soon.Originally Posted by Lucresia
How well does /PUP work if you just want a cure tank? I sometimes go out on my BST/RDM to melee Easy Prey mobs in Caedarva for parry/shield skillups.
I know the /37PUP will be in danger of any AOE and will be limited to Cure III (I think). EP mobs are pretty easily soloed just straight up tanking on my BST without a pet but the downtime isn't fantastic with a 200mp pool to the point where its marginally faster to just run in town and get full HP/MP through the nomad moogle. Would /PUP be decent to keep me alive? Keep in mind the average skillup fight for me lasts about 2 minutes with a defense setup.
edit: also how's the range attack unnerf treating the sharpshoot frame?
I don't know if its been covered in this thread (probably has, but search doesn't work), but do Target Marker and Attuner have much of an effect on xp mobs? Or is it more for hitting mobs way higher level than you (i.e. HNMs)?
Also, with Optic Fiber, Turbo Charger, Dynamo, Tension Spring II, think that Valoredge is a viable DD setup in a party? Or is Sharpshot still the best option?
I've been mainly using Stormwaker (Mana Channeler, Mana Booster, Loudspeaker II, Loudspeaker I), starting off with Light+Dark when the mob is pulled, then after the first nuke, adding in a Water, then just keeping those maneuvers up during the fight for constant nuking with no debuffing. I could probably get more damage out of Sharpshot, but I have more fun with Stormwaker. Plus, it can heal.
I recently had a horrible party with what turned out to be an RMT NIN who couldn't tank for shit. Plus, our only healer was a RDM. And we were fighting flies. I was subbing WAR so I could be first voke for the THF to SATA onto the NIN, but I guess RMT NINs don't understand that (or the concept of letting the THF pull instead of voking whatever is nearby). So the THF usually ended up SATAing me, which got me beat up pretty badly sometimes, though usually I dodge most attacks since there's nothing to wear at my level but an evasion build. Point is, despite a horrible NIN and our only healer being a RDM, we still did ok. My stormwaker kept himself and me healed, and with Mana Converter he never ran out of MP. So the RDM was able to save a lot of MP that way.
Though in a less horrible party, one where I shouldn't have to rely on my stormwaker's heals to make the party viable, I've been wanting to try a Valoredge or Sharpshot setup to test out some of the new attachments.
Dang with all these new attachments/elemental expansion anyone else feel that there aren't enough equip slots lol

I think that was the point. Before, there wasn't much room for variety. You could fill up your elemental capacity in each element and still have a slot left over. Now you can fill up all your slots and have 3 or 4 elements untouched. This means you have more decisions to make on which attachments you want equipped, and which you have to leave off, leading to greater variety.Originally Posted by DragonCloud64

I saw the idea on ZAM and looking at some data, I think this might be acccurate:
Optic Fiber gives all your attachments the effects of 1 Elemental Manuever when Light Manuever is used.
Ie. All your Tension Springs/Stabilizers/Armor Plates gain an extra 5% when you use Light Manuever.
This would expain why my automaton was hitting at 1-2 Fire Manuever Capability when I only used one light Manuever. So perhaps 2 Fire + 1 Light is equal to 3 Fire Maneuevers + Flash + Damage Gauge/Auto-Regen + Accuracy Bonuses from Stabs + Def Bonus from APs. I bet thought that if this is the case, then OF will only activate at 1 Light and will not improve your attachments with each Light. Otherwise it would be way overpowered. Off to spam Light Manuevers after Faffy.
