miokomioko when you have some time can you check those attachments with pup as sub? Technically the mobs would be much 'stronger' since the puppet is half level... again not for any serious use probably but it would be interesting to know.

I got an hour until I leave for LA and I'm trying to do a run of 6 ISNMs, but I really do want to do some more tests with Target Marker. If I can get the help to try it, I definitely will. I want to see if Target Marker has any effect on Ranged Accuracy (if not, PUP needs not worry about this upcoming patch which will probably add R.Acc. to the effects of Target Marker) Also, I will try what you said, but going to try as like Lv.1 DRK/PUP to see how Lv.1 does vs something Lv.80 or so with Target Marker installed. Just want to do the ranged test before I go so I can test it after the patch as well to view the difference.Originally Posted by genome
Well ok level 1 would be interesting too if you have someone in PT to tank... But also when you have time you could eventually try as something like PLD75/PUP37 (or whatever other main job you have) fighting an EP. Then you still have mobs 30+ levels over and it might be a more relevant test to possible use as subjob.Originally Posted by miokomioko
I'm using the boots, and my repairs still end with 90sec left on the cooldown.Originally Posted by miokomioko
Do any other IIs drop from troll PUPs? Thus far, i've only seen accelerator IIs.
Fighting HTH will be pretty much relegated to XP parties (although with better str and dex than mage jobs, it seems to pan out slightly better than them even though the skill cap is lower). Full Pahluwahn (by far the best melee gear pup can wear) is your best bet to make your HTH better on anything over VT. If you choose to use this, you'll still want to macro in your AF when using repair and possibly other cases as well.
OK im only level 30 right now but ive been with PUP since the first day of the expansion (Had to take a break for work), been bashed, been laughed at and have never givin a flyin fuck This update is fuckin awesome and thats that, I got Tension Spring II today and have yet to test it out and im gettin pumped, cant wait to get to 60 to start the ENM and get the kick ass new attachments.
Thank you miokomioko, Enitsu and Elcura for doing this testing... PUP is the only the second job in the game that ive actually liked so im pumped as hell to see its not being ignored.
Peace.
The updated patch notes sound less nerfy and more fix-ranged-y now.The effect of the automaton attachments Attuner and Target Marker on ranged attacks will now function correctly.
anyone able to beat the pup enm60 when the fantocchi calls valouredge? i've tried with stormwaker for cure spam and tried with my own valouredge to voke and tank as long as possible but still getting owned. 400hp and 300%tp to the Fantocchi from the Goblin on my last run sure didn't help but even then I'm still not even getting close to winning.
from the updated patch notes:
Incorrect help text displayed in the automaton equipment screen has been fixed.
has anyone noticed incorrect help text? are they changing the Scanner help text to something resembling what it actually does?
regardless of what scanner says unless it's changed it will still be useless.
Everyone always forgets about good ole Harlequin >.> That's how I beat it. 1200ish HP and 250MP for CureIV with -the only enfeeble he'll use is like.. Bio II, which is actually beneficial. It wouldn't been a super easy win but he interrupted one of my CureIVs at the end and beat my automaton. That's the won that I beat with 80HP left. Used most Tier II defensive stuff. Didn't use stoneskin cause it's 100 absorbed about and well.. Fantocchi's valoredge hits for 100. Pescetora(sp?) for food .. and some curey medicines. >.>Originally Posted by Odd
Could this ENM be done with mage puppet and constant activation/deactivation to cure you as you attack the fantoccini?
(Spinning attack is AOE right?) Cause I know he uses that WS sometimes during the fight. You'd possibly get screwed by it. Plus they hit pretty hard.. 50-70 per fist from the Fantoccini guy and (If valoredge) 100 per swing.
Although, I'm a taru. Everything hurts.
I haven't fought Stormwaker yet, but Sharpshot is a push over. Just fight the Fantoccini out of it's melee range and it'll pluck away with 60 damage shots every 5-6 seconds. >.>
Almost beat him with his valoredge by using valoredage myself. was 5 TP short of finishing him with raging fists when I went down. =\
If he Activates a Valoredge, you better have a Stormwaker (with Damage Gauge) out and a shitload of meds, is all I have to say. Either way, I'm never going into that ENM again without inventory full of Hi-Potions. Failing a chance at these attachments after a 5-day wait because I needed to knock off the last 3% of its HP is too much of a bummer. I kinda' wish the Fantoccini would only pull out the same frame as you... seems more fair. :P
When I beat it Stormwaker vs Stormwaker, thanks to Fantoccini's massive Guard skillz, most of my dmg was coming from only Blizzard II and the occasional WS.
On a side note, Target Marker is making a huge difference in exp pt vs VT~IT. Hits most of the time and for more than my fists. like 50~60dmg with 100dmg crits... gogo Tension Spring I & II.
P.S. Still need to do some subjob tests for ya', genome. 3:00am atm so, perhaps tomorrow eve~
Target Marker works with RA now or does it not affect it?
I want to level PUP now.![]()
My lv.1 automaton just hit a marid first try with a ranged attack with just Target Marker and Scope.... I'd say yes. Yes it does... lol.Originally Posted by Elcura

--edit-- apparently the minimum dmg cap I spoke of earlier does not apply to ranged attacks, it hit for 0. But, meh, I'll test this out more thoroughly later, I just thought it was amusing :P

Ok yeah, I must have been on crack. With or without the AF boots, Repair lasts 90 seconds and HP/tick is still the same. So that's leading me to believe it removes enfeebles or increases DEF or something, I can't think of a lot of things it might do...Originally Posted by Tahngarthor
As for the tier IIs, I know for a fact that Mana Jammer II, Accelerator II, and Tension Spring II all drop from the trolls because I have seen them drop first-hand.
Those happen to be the only ones usually up on AH too.Originally Posted by miokomioko
