Blue Mage limit break fun

He hits like a truck, and he loves to hit you with stun moves. I ran in and opened with Frightful Roar to negate his cocoon, and from there, did a self Light with Savage Blade > Cannonball, with 2 hour running. I had eaten a taco and used Cocoon, so my Cannonball hit 800 and Light hit for 700.

I've read on the BLU thread that Vert Cleave has a damage modifier of the defense of your enemy. [a Mamool Ja who used Cocoon ate the biggest Vert Cleave, ect.] If that's true, Maybe it might be a good tactic.

Also, Can you V.Trunk/Geist Wall him and make it stick? Sounds like a very fun battle ^^

Well Vertical Cleave is 75. I went in level 70 for the real effect of having it be a fair fight. Using Frightful Roar will knock his Cocoon off, so you can pretty much go all out once you hit him with that. It goes so fast, other debuffs aren't worth it. You need to hit him with all you've got as fast as humanly possible.

Enitsu, argh, tell me your general strat... because I went into that BC, albeit I was 67, and completely got my ass handed to me.

Mine went like so:

Used mage frame.
Slept TP to 150+
Opened up with Raging Fists (68 dmg WTF)
Used Regen drink.
Valkeng casted Stun on me.
My puppet used Bio II on the PUP.
Valkeng casted Stonega II (hurt quite a bit).
I spammed Hi-Potions.
PUP and Valkeng meleeing on me (negating my HP gain).
Valkeng casted blind on me (very potent).
My Puppet Cure IV'd me.
I missed and missed.
Valkeng csated Bio II on me.
PUP uses Raging Fists and knocks my ass out.
(what a waste of a testimony)

Granted I wasn't 70 for Optical Hat, Avengers, Pln.Kaz., etc... but are those lv.70 gears that affective in whether you get your ass kicked or not? Seems like luck based on what Valkeng casts... do tell ^-^y

I must admit I get a little 'zammy' here and there... because I want a monk-type frame, I keep picture it with perfect little metal spheres for fists... so many things would look sweet with the automatons' art style.

That, and I have all these ideas swimming around about AFII stats and color scheme... sigh... oh to be young again.
