"Insiders" include all the people working at places like Target, Best Buy, Gamestop, people with their own computer/tech companies, etc., etc., those people aren't exactly in the gaming business, but they are able to get tickets.

I'm moving to cali next month and was looking forward to finally going to E3 ;_; This sucks.

press and media people onry, i don't believe it's available to the public like that.

no but he can still get access if his company is promoting their system/game. Amirite?

if the company is good enough (I think you have to go through some registration, and only a few get accepted since space is limited?) then i suppose so, i'm not an expert in this.

For the last several years E3 attendance has been for the majority of people only about Status and Loot.

"Hey I just went to E3 and look at all the cool swag I got! And these pictures of me with booth babes!"

That's not a good reason for any studio to spend millions of dollars in promotion when internet outlets do the same, better, and faster for way les dough.

Let E3 die down, it hasn't been a good source of gaming information for the general public anyway. Media outlets always ejaculate over 'exclusive E3 content' when really most of that shit was leaked via the usual subchannels a month or so earlier. The Internet > E3.

E3 was originally only intended to be open to the media and other game companies and their resellers, ie: gamestop and EB. I wonder if people realize that when they work at one of these places theyre able to get into E3 for free as a media person. I was a manager and district manager for gamestop and went to E3 three times btwn 2000 and 2005 and it just got worse after each year.

So, im glad E3 is going back to its roots.
