I blew 2.3 mil on the Harlequin horn. I'm also holding onto it b/c I'm hoping they're gonna goto 3 tiers of mazurka: Raptor, Chocobo, and Choco + Harlequin. Choco + Harlequin should be about the speed of Mazurka + Striders. After all, we now know that they can program a different movement speed for the Harlequin horn.

Anyway, still laughing at the images of Moogles getting killed during beseiged.

With that kind of reasoning, you should go level dragoon and wait for them to make the job the most superior melee class in the game. Although, I guess you need to rationalize out the gil paid on the horn that has probably dropped in price now.

I don’t know BG’s preference for spoilers, but nonetheless, below here thar be spoilers. So if you don’t like spoilers and would rather bitch about S-E for this or that, I’d suggest passing up my post.




Plot involves a mission searching Alzaadal for another Astral Candescence. The Palace’s chief alchemist (disguised as a Puppeteer) gives you an item for locating the other 5 AC (yes, those dots on the one in Al Zahbi meant something). Then you’re off looking for info in Nashmau, where you stumble on the ghost of Prince so-and-so who founded the Corsairs in the Mire graveyard. Eventually, you have a little fight on the ghost ship BCNM in Reef. All that nets you an audience with the Empress (after acquiring some proper clothes), and surprise, surprise – the Grand Vizier appears to be behind it all, and the Empress is just a pawn… or “puppet?”

You get some kind of reward for all this, but Naja takes it away from you because she’s a bitch.

The end, at least that I could find.

More semi-spoileriffic posting here.

You get something for doing the mission in Aldazaal, but Naja punishes you for reporting directly to the Empire before reporting to her, so she takes it. Later on (after the ghost ship thing), Naja acknowledges that you've "wised up" by coming to see her first, and forces you to choose her as your guest to the Imperial Ward. You get another shiny, and again, Naja takes it.

The conclusion I've come to is that Naja isn't a bitch, she's just ho checkin'.
