Ridill War VS Axe War With Corsair

What's base dex at 75? 82 STR WAR/NIN with full STR merits, 66 DEX

Mithra is 71+4str/78dex if I remember correctly 7str/12dex difference . I guess it can add 50dmg on rampage if all hit land. Damn Elvaan.

I actually was thinking about this same topic yesterday. It seems a couple merits make a lot bigger difference than going from Joyeuse -> Ridill (which is what most people I know tend to do just by looking), but it seems anyone that lusts after it thinks their damage and certain anatomical parts will increase by like 350% or something. Then again, it really does probably boost output by a good margin over anything else but a few hundred thousand limit points.

I wouldn't invite a non-Ridill WAR to xp because then I might have to get a COR, and both are gimp. Ridill WARx3, BRDx2, RDM only prz thx.

You're a WAR and you say COR is gimp? I'm personally not sure which one I prefer (COR + BRD or BRD x2) but double attacking 8 freaking times in a row the day before lists under "really not gimp" in my definition. Maybe your Corsairs just suck.

The difference between a ridill and non-ridill war is more like 3-5% w/o a corsair. The difference between no armor and A. body is around 7%. No one really owns anyone in this game, no armor or weapons doubles or even gives you a 10% increase in damage.

Size of your bladder is a greater determinant of in game merit damage than equipment. Everything else is epeen.

Can't be 78 DEX on mithra WAR. My NIN had 77 and NIN has higher DEX than WAR.

Well I use Ridill/Joyeuse because of the piercing bonus on flies/imps and puks, not to mention that my sword caps out at 278. Also, maybe I don't find double attacking 8 times in a row impressive because with Rid/Joy I double/triple attack so many times that its rare there is a pause in animation. But to each his own.

I wouldn't invite a non-Ridill WAR to xp because then I might have to get a COR, and both are gimp. Ridill WARx3, BRDx2, RDM only prz thx.

I have ridill but I also have max merits into great axe. What else would I put them in. I think the extra accuracy and attack is nice to have on end game stuff. Not trying to start any drama just asking for your opinion.

ridill wars always beat non ridill wars on bahamut unless your ridills come from sisterfuck members, thier ebodys and ridills dont match thier war af1 feet and war/drg JSE leggings. generic wars and kmart monks truck them in damage no contest

Well first of all this is just a game so do whatever you have the most fun doing. I put mine into sword because I actually think xping is fun and hitting fast is fun, thats pretty much the main reason. But if you're going for a utility standpoint, I'd probably rather use Great Sword on HNM for light rather than GA.

Well, it's all about the number you get in the end. As nice as attacking 8x2 times in a row is, how often does it happen? I didnt do any serious parsing, but corsair's DA seemed like a ~15% increase in double attack (might varies between 10 and 20% I guess). That's pretty sweet, but March will do something similar in the end.

In order, the factor that influence parsing the most is:

1) Merit
2) How fast do you engage/swap target/spam tp move (if you take 5sec to engage, you are losing 15% of your damage)
3) Ridill
4) Is everyone hasted the same (Not everyone is hasted the same in xp pt. Many rdm/whm dont reach the 3rd melee...)
5) Correct food (are you eatting meat or sushi in the right situation)
6) Haste gear
7) Other gear

Some could be moved around depending how bad someone is at something, but that's what affect the parser the most I think.

77 dex then >_> Almost certain it was close to that, but I cant verify because I'm at work

Great sword still skilling up in dynamis ; ; around 200 now. Depending on how much I use great sword i might switch my merits into great sword. I would never put merits into sword. I'm sorry. Tiamat would laugh at me. In fact come to think of it i guess once I do cap great sword I can use it on pld hmm... Damn all those merits wasted ><. And if someone responds to this and say Vorpal Blade(sp) or savage blade is good on tiamat... i will well i won't do anything. Thanks for the advice.

Site is flawed.
Gave me 73 Base str as Hume warrior/nin.
I've got 77 str after 5 merits . making my pre-merit base 72, not 73.
