Thanks for the laugh. Seriously. ^^b
So, no info on obtaining this? I'd give up the 7 DMG for 5 Dark Magic on HNMs.
Sorry, but what the hell?Originally Posted by Kelvanis

Blackjack, the level 69 scythe, has the following stats: MP+20 INT+4 Dark magic skill +5
I was mearly stating, that the INT and +5 Dark Magic Skill, would be nice to use, when casting a Dark Magic spell.
Why? Because you disapprove of the opinion I stated, on a weapon in the game?Originally Posted by Lockecole
For most Dark Magic spells, using a Dark/Pluto's Staff would add far more potency and accuracy than this scythe would.Originally Posted by Kelvanis

For Bio, I can't tell if dark magic is better than int or dark staff. Dark skill probably increase its dot, and I think int increase its lenght. No clue if Dark staff affect anything other than initial dmg.
Understood then, please forgive me for having wasted your time on this subject.Originally Posted by Jeryhn

The elemental debuffs (Burn, Frost, etc.) increase in DoT potency through INT I believe. Poison's DoT should be static (haven't used Poison for anything in a really long time, unsure).
Isn't bio fixed damage?
And stun is resisted by some mobs <_< as 58blm cerberus resisted my stun occasionally if I wasn't wearing jupi staff. I macro my jupi staff into stun anyway now, on the off chance that it helps the duration.
Its not a waste of time really. Many people who don't level mage jobs (and even some that do) don't realize that the elemental staves add potency and accuracy to spells of their respective element.Originally Posted by Kelvanis
As far as Stun goes, I've never had anything resist my Stun ever, unless it had Magic Barrier up. I hear a lot of people saying they get resisted on Stun by Cerberus, but have yet to see it happen.

As blm 75, you don't get resisted tho. Unless it's something like Kirin and fafnir with 95/99% stun resist.
Assuming this info is correct, it at least affects Bio III... and logic would conclude that if it affects Bio III, it would also affect Bio and Bio IIOriginally Posted by aurik
I wouldn't apply bio3 mechanics to bio2/1, they are surely different.
Considering the mechanics of most of the new merits, I wouldn't apply that logic either.Originally Posted by aurik
I'm not sure about duration, but the damage over time from Bio II goes up a "tier" when you pump your Dark Magic skill to 291 and above.
Mechanic for last Tier spell is often different. Take cure V for example that doesnt work like previous spell. I cant really say if it's the same for bio or not
Then someone should test it... because if skill doesn't affect Bio II, then Bio II at 200 Dark Magic skill does as much damage as Bio III at 220 skill, and there's no way you can convice me that makes even a lick of sense.
