That's strange, we've fought Prudence plenty of times and have never noticed anything like this. When we shadowbind him he usually stays shadowbound for whatever amount of time it's supposed to be, and if someone does damage to it it became unbound.
Prudence in general seems kinda weird. Another funny thing you can do is bind him just as he switches hate, he'll teleport while bound, but he won't come back until the bind wears off :D

People have killed AV before you, ya know? I quit in February and had fought him twice already (neither times killing). The thing is, if you kill AV you've killed his Wynavs. If you don't kill AV, you've killed his Wynavs. It's like saying standing and moving and performing actions is part of 'how to kill' the BRD AF3 mob. Of course if you've killed him, you've done that. Of course if you haven't killed him, you've done that. Just like of course if you've killed AV you've killed his Wynavs, and even if you haven't killed him, you've killed some Wynavs (if you've fought him).

It might be the case that that's how you turn off his two hours, but there's no evidence of that at all. The only things that look like evidence are actually just flaws in logic.

i dont understand the purpose of your post.. was it so you can just say "i told you so" if the theory turns out to be false? you're providing no help whatsoever on this topic
Um...to encourage people to keep looking for a reason because it's probably not that? Pretty straightfoward, really.

you obviously didnt read my whole post, here's the rest for you:

also other LS's have also had similar experiences when killing [multiple sets of] wynavs and that is the only similarity between all AV fights

anyways we dont know for sure until people keep popping AV over and over again, which we're hoping for this weekend
first notice i've already acknowledged past AV kills, and secondly, my point was trying to link any similarities in those kills so as to try and reproduce the same effects.

im not saying AV isnt glitched, nor am i saying this is the way to tame him, its just 1 of many theories which need to be tested over and over again until a conclusion can be made

the thing is... SE may have done numerous changes without telling us since february and now (like giving AV a loot table perhaps?)... one thing that may have worked/not worked before may work/not work now........

I kinda started skipping Takedown2's posts after my reply to that. After hearing Mach's point of view with tanking AV in that state, it dosen't seem so care free. Spaming cure on tanks would work for anything if you gain 0 hate and lost 0 mp from it. Avoiding instant cast meteors and crap or "cure spaming" the people and yourself that are eatting the insta cast spells/2hrs is inefficient.

SE can make great things, and they can come up with great fights, but that's not always the case. I said it in this thread before. I loved the different jailor fighte, they were fun and required teamwork. It doesn't mean se will do that for every CoP fight (come up with a good way thats required to kill a monster). Giving us a tooth pick and asking us to find out to make a trained rabbit write secret message isn't too fun either (the answer is get a carrot that's in a deep metal box and feed it to him btw. Need the toothpick to reach it.. kinda). Well I guess the rabbit thing would be better, because we won't be loosing time spent leveling our hobby.

It's happened to us I think twice. But last time it did it, it just hovered there for over what the bind limitation was. We whacked it for fear of it depopping, and it eventually TP'd out, and continued being dumb as normal.

An LS member who's been soloing in Sea has been complaining about some wierd happenings lately. Namely Euvhi's completly losing hate after a tier IV nuke, and Ghrahs in wierd places.

Everything loses hate weirdly these days...I've had chain 5-6s broken while soloing Wamoura Princes. They'd still be in casting range but would lose aggro lol

Its pretty cool when that happens, if you claim it back in time. Its makes soloing a lot safer sometimes ;o.

Prudence "shadowbinds" itself sometimes. And by that, I mean it gets stuck, doesn't move, and doesn't attack for absolutely no reason at all. Eventually(either time based or damge based) it gets unstuck.

I am not sure if they Ninja shifted mob spawns around or what, but I have noticed quite a few mobs hanging out in places they shouldn't. (Especailly the Hyppogryphs in A01.)

I get the feeling that SE was trying to tweak something mob-related recently. I mean, Ghrah animations don't just break randomly for no reason, something is being messed with. Wamoura Princes also weren't losing hate so easily until recently. I wish they'd communicate with the playerbase a bit more :/

Yeah that's my biggest wish too...but anyways, as for ghrahs, my guess is the coding for hydra fucked with ghrahs. Why? Both are multiple form mobs.

Then why didn't Wamoura forms display incorrectly, or any of the ToAU mobs when you knock off their weapons, or Aerns with their bracelet modes...I think they were messing with something else

I think they just wanted to give people another reason to hate CoP.

PS: Ghrahs respond well to threats.

Two forms vs more? Ghrahs have 4 forms on the model, Hydra has 3. I also am guessing ToAU mobs were tested much more heavily than other ones, and aerns didnt have an issue because the bracelets dont change animations.

But this is 100% theory anyways so who knows.

BTW rocl, you need an avatar. Maybe a crazy wamoura?

Yeah, but no Ghrah can switch between more than 2 forms, except for Kf'Ghrah and Ix'Ghrah

True but that doesnt mean theres 4 models for ghrahs, its all scripted for one model. Check out the model viewer to see what I mean.

Too bad most modern forums now block embedding hidden media controls into your sig :P You could have it play "What a crazy wamoura!" every time someone viewed your posts :(

On a side note, it is incredibly entertaining to find old forums and embed the "What would you do with a drunken sailor" song in your sig. Then, just start posting normally and watch the hilarity!
