Nothing wrong with religion, but religious people are stereotypically closed minded about things like homosexuality. Not the ideal roomate if you are yourself homosexual lol

i really dont think its gonna be a big issue, i have yet to meet a person that doesnt like me if they get to know me
i just dont want him to like, refuse to talk to me or something
i do this every year because... just because... if you were in my situation you'd be worried too :/ but still, he'll like me whether he's super religious or not~
Hmmm, well you didn't really say what religion he is. But I'm guessing he's christian? I mean they believe homosexuality is a sin because it says so in the bible, but if they are a REAL christian they won't judge you for it. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless he starts thumping his bible at you.

But there are two types of christians, the ones who think like that are the evangelist (or whatever).
There are the chatholics though. In the eyes of god, everyone is a christian but some choose a different way of showing it.
evangelist are the ones who say that man is man, and woman is woman. They also have stupid rules like woman can't put on makeup, Divorce is a sin, even if there is heavy violence in the relation ship, they can't wear jeans etc.
Catholics are a bit more loose and are a bit more open minded. For example. My mother is a chatholic and for the sake of this reply, I asked her about this and she said that the human body (in ref to males) is made of up male as well as female cells. Some develope more than others. If this takes part naturally, who is to say it isn't the way god made it to be?
For those wondering, my mother isn't that religious but has studied this subject (read the bible etc). She like most of us believes in god but does not follow all those extreme rules and shit.
I'm quite curious as to what you mean by this.Originally Posted by Kaylia

i live in mississippi..... and there are no "southern baptist" stereotypes where i live........ so uh.... dont think that would be a problem.. its mostly old fat black women are that stereotype.Originally Posted by Setsuko
i although however agree with the lube....... also... just to be nice... dont overdo it with pictures of scantily clad men...for the first week at least.

Tell him you want to get to know his religion. You want to learn it, live it, love it. Softly carress it as you whisper sweet nothings in its ear. While slowly sliding your hand down its pants, slipping two fingers in its....
My first roomate in college was super religious. He was an uber-christian. It was funny because I'm christian too, just much more liberal. Much of the things I did and said were "crazy" to him, which I found amusing.
Anyways, he ended up being a great roomate. Totally honest, down to earth guy, always in bed by like 9pm, studious, helpful, had a car (WOOT), I had no qualms about the guy, totally happy I got him.
He ended up leaving the 2nd semester and I got a guy from Kuwait named Muhammed, who gave my first roomate a run for his money as my favorite roomate ever. Muhammed bought EVERYTHING, he was rich or something. He's also trying to be an olympic swimmer, one of the nicest guys I've ever met. I totally won the roomate lottery. (expect when I had to choose my own last year)
Part of the Christian religion is to hate the sin, not the sinner.
Basically that would be the equivilant of:
"Hey! I don't agree with your sexual preferance, but I'd be more than happy to be friends with you"
If he's a real Christian, he'll know this and you'll have no problems.

He's right. That's how you're supposed to be if you're a Christian. However, it's very hard to fins Christians like this these days. Just hope he wasn't one of those crazy, super-baptist Christians. Bleh.. I think horror stories when I think of the local Trinity Christian Academy here. Half of them think they're just plain better than you. The other half think they're better than you because they are Christians and that you're wrong if you don't follow the Bible word for word.Originally Posted by Tymon
