They posted on that link that if you do that, it screws up the other model viewer (the original one) and screwing with registry is dangerous anyway. After all the kinks get worked out in this viewer, i dont guess we'd need the other one anymore, but messing with the registry can still have severe complications.Originally Posted by Julian
My old model viewer is working just fine.
Nifty program, certainly much more aethetically pleasing than the original model viewer we've been using.
It also seems quite easy to translate into english with the aid of existing lists, plus a small amount of hacking ability for the menus.
This took maybe two minutes.

When I view different effects they don't seem complete. I've been messing around with different settings in the menu, even though I don't really know what they do. I haven't had any luck getting it to look good though.
This is what my Fragmentation looks like, it's one of the more apparent effects that aren't complete:

ToAU BGMs are in ATRAC3 format and thus have some kind of DRM on them, if I understand correctly.Originally Posted by Taera
The camera controls are abysmally awkward, left click controling x and y at the same time...I usually end up at some crazy retarded angle, fighting with it for ages to get it where I want it. If it adopted the camera controls for regular model viewer it would be perfect.![]()
only thing I care about : Does it export to MQO format? If this exports areas to MQO...... mmmmm expect a ton of new 3d pics from me![]()

A very amazing program, aside from a few points such as camera controls and a few animations being slighty off (how I dunno, by my Fragmentation animation looks different in model viewer than game).
Anyone know if there is a full english translation in the works or planned?
I could probably get the equipment lists translated by wednesday... others might take longer.
Ninjaedit for BRP: Hold down your wheel buttom, move mouse back/forth.

Appears it hasn't quite handled the transparent 3D effects just yet. Utsusemi, Sentinel and Fragmentation (like the guy above said) are the ones of note so far. Interesting stuff though. Wondering if they'll ever add the 3rd line of Ninjutsu debuffs for player use...
Very nice.
The whole "rippling effect" from Black Magic can't be handled either.

Heh, I should have known that, considering who's doing the translation. Not working on this particular project with him, though.
English version is out, registration is required however.

Aside from the camera control being astonishingly bad and a bunch of the animations missing sections, this is one hell of an addictive program. I hope the people that translated some of it carry on and finish everything.
