I recreated what occasionally happens to me, I had the first jelly (the dead one) targetted, was fighting it, it had DoT on it from mandau poison, switched target to another slime and tried to ranged attack it but it was Out of Range, anyway, first slime went yellow when i swapped target and attempted to RA, unclaimed, died from DoT, negated all drops.

Why does this happen?

Here is why :

Before the update, a player who fought a monster without using auto-attack would retain his claim on the monster, even if he was KO’d in battle due to poison, etc. This has been fixed so that when the player dies, the monster becomes unclaimed.

It would probably be a good idea to not cast any DoT on a HNM under 10% since you might need to sleep it (if it sleeps). It's easy for things to go downhill no matter how good you are. :wink: [/code]

Sort of on topic, just did a few Ouryu runs and the earth ele never appeared. Water ele was up to start with as usual but we've always had an earth ele as well, and it just never spawned. Has this happened to anyone else? Or did they remove it for some reason after patch and we just wern't aware of it?
