I wonder when and why the decisions were made to change POL. Maybe it just didn't test as well as they thought or they didn't have the time to implement that shit. Then again it was probably just ps2 limitations.

Looking back some of the mechanics were there in FFXI like the old 'knock' command or temp logging to POL.
