When you kill the Dark Rider, he drops nothing, but there is a 25% chance that a Goblin Raider will pop. If you manage to kill the Goblin Raider, then it has a 10% chance to drop a Goblin Drink which you can then use to pop the Goblin Wolfman for a 5% chance to drop the Parade Gorget.

Quite obviously, the secret to killing the dark rider is through Automatons. Of course, you need the Decepticon frame to actually beat it.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the Decepticon frame can only be obtained by digging in Wajaom Woodlands with a Gold Chocobo during double light weather on darksday at the highest digging rank.

No, don't give him a prize. The Goldilocks theorem only works if there is a "too easy" matched up with a "too hard." Re-read my post, "no known way of beating it, yet" shouldn't necessarily be equated with "too hard."

If you can't beat him on the first try, I don't think he should be dismissed as "too hard." :D
