I remember PS2 launch blew chunks only game worth having didn't come out until a month later, SSX. The XBox practically sold on the strength of Halo alone (and the game itself is pretty shitty), so say what you will about a limited launch selection.

The people who buy PS3 at launch will be buying it for blue-ray capability, not games -- the fact that the system will eventually have some decent games and compete with other consoles is a sidenote, at least to start with, for sony.

I personally hope Nintendo pulls out ahead this time around. Just seems like Microsoft and Sony are exploiting the console-formula without taking any chances. I'm kinda doubtful the Xbox360 will get anywhere between the Wii and PS3, even if Microsoft lowers the price come holiday season.

I got no clue which console will succeed the most really, especially since I never ever thought the PS2 was going to become so popular.

Zelda and Metroid is a must, Red Steel is like Fanavision for the PS2, just testing what the system is capable of. Dragon Quest might be good, cant go wrong with Monkey Ball, cant wait for Metal Slug Anthology, and ive always liked Blitz over Madden because its more 'spoofy/fun' game, nothing better than breaking legs after a tackle. The rest of the games Im not a fan of, but im sure someone will like them.
