New Video Card(Want to Buy)

I'm looking to buy a new video card for my computer. I've been saving up some monday and when I put this computer together, the only thing I didn't spend a decent amount of money on was my video card. I only spent about 100 bucks at the time, i actually think it was less than that.

Right now I've got an ATI Radeon 9550(AGP) 256mb.

What I'm looking for is a 512mb card, it has to be agp, because I'm not replacing my motherboard just to go PCI-E.... and I think I wanna get a ati card.

I just don't know a whole lot about the different chipsets.

Wanna spend about 150-200 bucks, no more than 200.

whats the difference between the x1300 and the x1600 series? I heard alot about the x800 series... is the x800 a newer or older chipset(i would guess its older)

well... i upgraded from a ati 9200 to an x850 pro, and i couldnt be happier, its AGP..... and it plays everything nicely. i payed $250 for my x850 pro during last xmas on newegg, you should be able to get it cheaper..

I'm hearing PCI-E is the way to go now since it's twice as fast as AGP8x...

I just got a BFG 7900GTX OC from new egg and i'm very happy with it. I think its around 450$ but its worth every penny if you play games alot.

There's really no difference between AGP and PCI-E. Mobo manufactureres just are phasing out AGP.
