The mammet bc is easily done with a duo. Probably can get done with a talented soloer as well. I go BST/NIN and my duo partner goes RDM/BLM. Like the other mammet fights, he's only a real danger in his sword form (for /nin anyways). He once killed me with sword + aoe while my shadows were down, I reraised and he proceeded to target me with -ga3 killing me even though my duo partner was still alive with hate on the other side of him. I've gotten an xp scroll everytime I've done this fight. Not sure if going with an xp in inventory will affect the loot pool or not.

I know the Mammet BC is soooo popular, but has anyone bothered doing it with the full alliance? I was under the impression that you got a special (well, different) NM named Mammet Master if you went in with enough people. I have absolutely no idea if it has any effect on drops, but I'm assuming that that's how you get the breastplate otherwise I would think someone would get one from solo/duo.

No Mammet Master i've ever heard of. You just fight one more mammet for each 2 members you bring it starting with the first one. 1 mammet for 1-2 people, 2 mammets for 3-4 people, and so on... Up to 9 mammets if you go in with 17-18 people. There's only one you can see at start but he'll split in as many friends needed depending on your alliance. I just think you get a different "flag" depending on how many mammets you killed, granting you a chance to get the breastplate.

Not so much a revenge fight but "Waking the Beast" is repeatable each week after tally.

Yeah, indeed in the .DATs so maybe it pops in the set of 9 mammets ? I didn't have a chance do actually do it but i think i've read it somewhere there were 9 of them. It could have been a lie as well and the Master would pop alone but wouldn't this be known by now ?

Finding 18 people willing to do this is worse than hell... But know i really want to know.

There are also a lot of Mammet-800s and 3 Masters in the .DATs... Maybe just for instanced BCs if this one allows it.

Edit to add something : Actually 3 sets of 1 Master and 9 Mammets so there can obviously be 9 mammets there. Maybe the Master pops after you kill them, i have no clue.

The placement of the "unnamed" mamets and the master, just look like Cutscene mammets to me, where there's 1 mamet (the master) which splits itself (spawns the 800's).

We do 18 man alliance mammet rematch often, there is no Mammet Master to fight, nor does having a full alliance increase the chance of a cloud evoker (other than increasing the amount of people getting a chance at a evoker).

I meant the 1st Mammet in the BC before it splits, lol. It's not a cutscene, it splits when you aggro it in the BC. Actually there's no cut scene at all for this fight.

Yeah, too bad that that argument is moot because I finished CoP and everything it threw at me (aside from AV) and I still hate it.
