In our LS, ancient beastcoins are stockpiled and given to people for artifact upgrades, and the occasional earring. As such, coins are oftentimes used more often for upgrading artifacts than buying coins. It was a pain when I was going for Loquacious, but my Evoker's Pigaches and Warlock's Tabard got upgraded for virtually free. Can't really complain.

The alternative is buying coins.

its a decent item fo sho, perhaps even more then decent but considering the ridill and dropping af1 feet for dusk and considering dropping DA merits to go zerk/agg lvl5 i dont see it being as worth it... imo the brutal earring is at its peak when stacked with all other DA merits/gear

5%DA rate is ok but its not that great alone, since losing 4% from merits(if i drop) and 3%(i think from boots?) and the extra roll on the AF2 pants(dropping for haidates once i get) i dont see a 5% overall DA mod to be "godly"... dont get me wrong id take it in a heart beat and certainly wear it full time over my lolmermansearring but meh

It's godly because it's so insanely good for an earring. You have a Ridill, but cant be bothered to get something as easy as a Brutal....IMO SE should just strip it from you, as you are disgracing it. Even my damn BLM has a Brutal just for the hell of it, it's not like 75 coins is hard to come by if you split your LS runs into groups of 6 instead of spamming the zones with 18. As an added bonus, you get to Ultima/Omega 3x faster!

Also, 5% DA is just that, 5% DA. It doesn't matter if you have DA merits, or AF1 boots, or whatever. Equipping those does not make 5% DA better. 5% DA trounces anything you can put in your ear slot endgame, and by a decent margin.

5% is a significant boost to your dot whether stacked with other gear or not. Maybe it would be optional elsewhere but it is superb as an earring.

I don't see why people don't just split coins. If you *really* want to keep everyone happy, you'll make sure that everyone gets rewarded for their efforts. If you're going with 6, you'll be getting 8-10 coins each on most of the lucrative runs (except for ones like Temenos Central 2, ugh), which means you can get Brutal and such very quickly. This also keeps jobs that don't get much of a benefit from Limbus happy, as they don't have to keep blowing 50k + med costs, and can turn a mediocre profit as well.

Even if you were a LS that pooled coins, 75 coins for a Brutal on a melee job, especially a Ridill War, is one of the best investments you can make in Limbus...especially since most good runs give 60-80 coins...

I personally agree, being a sackholder for an HNMLS that went under that used this system. It actually worked very well, but what works for other linkshells still works (and it worked out in the end for me too).

KonDynasty also has random payouts from the linkshell coffer, in gil or free upgrading NQ gear into HQ versions, to cover some of the Limbus costs, in addition to med/food/consumables costs from other events, each member spends as opposed to just splitting up coins. You gotta bear in mind, this linkshell has been around for a very long time, the "most powerful" linkshell on the server, and almost every single member has 3 or more 75+ jobs that can be utilized and need to be upgraded. Policy changes once they're made don't come easy, to any linkshell.

A Brutal on a single WAR would be a good investment, but we also invest in Takedown's PLD (which is pretty pimped out compared to his WAR... sup Koenig/Valor/Bahamut'sMask/ShadowMantle/need-I-go-on?). Brutals usually will go to the people that have more jobs that can utilize it (like people with WAR/MNK/DRK/SAM all at 75) than one guy with one level 75 DD job.

We give 100% priority to AF upgrades with our coins, but 75 coin earrings get distributed multiple times before the necessary items drop for any one specific AF upgrade.

This is just more proof that zilart kings are a total joke and SE fails. If I was in charge I would have all the kings spawn in rage mode and stay raged until they die just so the best gear in the game would stop going to shitty players.
