Main theme? Well I guess it's better then nothing. I'm glad he didn't drop SE entirely.

Anyone else not able to play the music after saving it and playing it 3/4 times? Seems like I need to 'unblock' the file first.

I heard Famitsu gave this game a perfect score 10/10. Apparently they hardly ever hand out a perfect score. The last one I ever remember them giving that to was Ocarina of Time for the N64.

As far as I'm concerned, Famitsu is pretty hard to impress THAT much. This game just might be huge. Can't wait for the release!

Also, found a video on youtube of the hidden boss, Gilgamesh. It plays Clash on the Big Bridge from FF5. Gilgamesh has four arms and he's holding Squall's gunblade, Cloud's buster sword, Tidus' Brotherhood, and some kinda weird sword in his fourth hand I've never seen before. Really badass. Nice to see homages to the old games.

I keep hearing good things about FFXII. I'm kind of relieved, I thought for sure they were going to run the series into the dirt rather than let it die a hero's death. Of course, with FFXIII x3 on the horizon, they may still do that.

FFXIII vs looks friggin badass at least.

Honestly though, I wish Square would go back to making kick ass RPGs aside from the FF series. Like they used to with Chrono Trigger, the Of Mana series, and Xenogears.

FFXIII looks miserably stupid, imo. Since when was Final Fantasy a bunch of hot jailbait chicks with guns doing Matrix style backflips in a sci fi setting? No thanks, sirs. No thanks.

Give me back games like listed above. Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, and Secret of Mana were all legendary games, and they didn't even need any fan service.

If you just replace the chicks with guys in the setting that you pointed out, then you almost have every single FF post7 era. Not so much the "matrix style" but still that's just a CG.

FFXII is pretty darn good from both a playing experience an storyline point of view. Not to spoil anything, but I'm having flashbacks to VI in terms of where the story goes and the battle system is quite nice. I don't miss random 'omg the screen just went swirly' random encounters at all and the 'NM' system will please many a FFXI fan. I just wish it was easier to make money in the game

ffxii is basically ffxi without the timesinks, repetitive macros, loot whores and asswipes. wish i could play more of it but school is kicking my ass. it's weird cos if they implemented such a macro system in ffxi u could basically go afk the whole time, if youre not the puller lol.

<3 the soundtrack, been listening to it for a couple months, there's 23 or so really good good tracks, like 'to the peak', 'boss battle', 'esper', 'beginning of the end', 'cerobi steppe' , 'ashes theme', 'clash on the big bridge', 'phon coast', etc. havent liked a game soundtrack this much since shadow of the colossus.
