For Staves, I think lowering their numbers to 4 is fair enough. Gravitation Staff for example. A direct Synth doesn't seem good at all. True, this way you can make the final result Rare/Ex. Though why level 75? 65 is good- it'd mean just when you're getting even more junk to swap through, this comes along and frees up spaces.
Making it organs, though? Blah. I'd rather see it use stuff like a new item you get from each of the appropriate Prime avatars. Say a rare/ex "Protocrystal shard" that's an option for a reward. That'll still require a challenge (Diabolos and Carbuncle and all the rest) but not have people sitting there farming yet MORE organs. 2 shards and the right staffs = new dual-element staff. 2 correct dual-element staffs + correct shard = Light elements staff or Dark elements staff.
Enough of that though. Because it seems the commonly agreed upon questions involve "Why the heck is there nothing worth mentioning dropping off many of the new mobs, and why is the best stuff dropping off monsters that are older than dirt?"
