Yeah, I got banned, so did a lot of people. I hacked to some ENMs cause I didn't feel like wasting an hour of my day climbing a video game mountain. I owned up to it, didnt "emo" at all (unlike if say, i cried about getting kicked out of my LS because kunekaden didnt like me ; ; ) and I'm back. Your point?

I bring between 15-20 people, all of whom I consider friends or they are friends of friends, for a few hours on Saturday afternoon when not a lot of shells on Midgard are doing Dynamis (VandalDreamz is the only other one that's around the same time as me), and we go have fun and get some af2 drops. How is that shady? Please tell me, because I thought about it long and hard before starting it. I've even asked Disco and many other LS leaders, and looked around a ton of websites, to make sure we weren't going at a competing time with them. How is that selfish?

Let me get this straight, you take other people to ENM with you, you take the drops and pay for your relic weapon?

Finishing Relic: A tale of someone who wants to finish.

Epigram was once a happy cool guy that didn't really care about much besides having a good time with friends. That is until he had this urge to upgrade relic. He didn't know if he could make enough gil though, long ago were the pre-RMT days where he and another one of the five NA level 75 bsts on his server could farm up 30mil gil a month easily.

So Epigram de-leveled his level 70 leather and got bone to 92. Then he did the math and it turned out that he had a pretty good chance of finishing relic within a year and a half, but it would be a lot of work. Epigram unfortunately was also in an hnmls and was staying up way too late farming and crafting to get relic done. He became bitter and let his temper out a lot at fellow ls members, and was very aggitated by half of the ls "upgrading" relic. He wrote some posts saying that it was retarded that eveyone was upgrading since no one would get done. Although entirely true, it was harsh, and it made a lot of people mad.

Epigram felt really guilty about what he said and just left the ls. He knew that if he wanted to finish relic he couldn't be in an hnmls. He joined a dynamis ls then, but didn't really like the atmosphere so he left and just grinded on his own. Eight to nine months later epigram is very very very very very very very very very very tired. He's spent over a year working his ass off, and has sold almost everything he has owned in the game, but he is happy since he is almost done. His social ls joined up with another ls and can sponsor runs. Still he gets very agitated when sub level 75 people try to get sponsorships and other people sponsor runs with no real intent to finish, but simply do it to "keep the dream alive."

Epigram understands that everyone contributes to dynamis currency and respects that everyone is entitled to sponsoring. He is especially thankful to those who wish that they could upgrade but know that it is not feasible for them. In the end, epigram just grinds his way to guttler and is still pissed off whenever he sees another upgrader stop at the end of stage 2 simply because they had no clue what stage 3 and 4 were really like, or were unrealisticly counting on K-club drops and speedbelts to finish.

This tale ends at the end of 06. Epigram is happy, and so is keftenk who finished his axe months earlier. But epigram's joy really isn't about having guttler, but about not having to upgrade it anymore. He now has gil to buy friends presents and maybe upgrade his gear. But beyond all that he has a Wafik sig that gets him all the cuties on BG :D. Keftenk and epigram also have cool gear shots on the KI screenshots of your beast thread with our guttlers and epigram pointing out that keftenk sucks because he has no merits despite keftenk having much better gear.

Epigram goes on to buy a brynie +1 and solo's VT trolls on mount Z like he used to when he had free time. He finishes off his merits, gets a max buffer, hangs out doing dynamis/assault/limbus/beseige/help noobs with AF all day and rescues prisoners. Songs are sung about his hero'ism in Jeuno since he has a lot of free money to pay the bard...

Two years later he finally gets BST AF2 helm and finishes his set :/
(Note, the ending has been fabricated, but it's a fairy tale of sorts :/)

No, I've done Boneyard Gully with my roommate + a friend, we've gotten Galateia twice and maneater once in 2 tries, we split the winnings 3 ways.

I also do Promyvion Dem/Holla/Mea usually every week, Riverne when I can, Psoxja when I can too. Any drops from there are split between all the people that come.

I use my share of the drops to pay for Dynamis.

Eventually, I want to do Totenzanz with 17 other people from my Dynamis shell, and then take one of the bigger drops and sell it, and use that gil to fund Dynamis while the other stuff goes free lot. But since that's a nightmare to schedule, Like the Wind is kind.

You don't need 17 for Toten, 5 mnks would do.

Sponsorship is still a group effert.

people expect that there is a shorter timeline to upgrade a relic than only doing the dynamises for the currency rather than buying it.

that said, im on lvl 3 bow, i was at 40/61 jadeshells and decided to give it up, sold all my currency at christmas(bling bling), and pimped out my samurai. i'll finish the bow someday, but it will most likely be when i create a city-only manaburn ls like wafik's devoted to upgrading my friends and mine's relics.

I went 75/25 on Sponsored/Bazaared coins. My main income was from BCNM and ENM, my highest craft level I had at any given time during upgrading mandau was lvl72 alchemy, and we all know alchemy is a joke.

BCNM/ENM put me at 30-40m at any given time though. Now a day I dont even have 3m lol, I think it's because I have no real motivation to make money, so i'm not seal whoring all day long.
