and my plans to possibly upgrade in the future would revolve around building a city only manaburn shell similiar to wafik's devoted to helping our friends upgrade regardless of how "misplaced" our motives are.

if someone said 'come have fun with me for a couple hours for free and get some af2, and you don't have to pay a dime' i'd be there. but i agree if people were interested in upgrading their own "toys"(b/c lets face it, other than the gkt, the shield and the horn, they're all toys), then it's probably not the shell for them.

Well, now it makes more sense. Sorry for insulting your IRL g/f, dude. If you can build a manaburn style LS more power to you... I'm not personally attacking Elphaba, I just personally feel that quitting/getting kicked from LSs and building your own full of random people just so you can upgrade a select few people is shady at best. Her telling people how to upgrade set me off. You may not think the way I do, whatever, I guess I'm old fashioned in thinking it should be a group effort and the group should benefit from the upgrade.

i know why she was kicked from valor and it wasnt for the reasons you stated, it's just that she's too classy to come on a message board and blast the people who didnt like her in her shell. in essence, she started a character on alexander so that we could play together(we knew each other prior to the game), posted about it in a livejournal, someone read it and convinced the other officers that she was only going to be on midgar for gear and then ditch the server for alex, so they broke her pearl. it's a little bit bullshit, and im not naming names.

and the reason she got kicked from her last dynamis shell is because the shell holder's a bitch who played favorites and changed the rules when elph won the lot on an item she was allowed to lot, but the leader wanted to go to someone else.

and i agree in theory that upgrading a relic should help the group. but then we get to the timeless argument that only the shield and the horn should be upgraded.

besides, she's doing it on her own money, helping friends get af2 for free, and she has no 'group' to help out, so more power to her.

Also, Cleen has a 1k+ Mercy Stroke on Fafnir that says dagger is useful now too, especially since they've made some fights where TH is needed but only 18 can enter (Bahamut 2, Ouryu too I believe, neither done either fight yet).

Edit: I had a bard if that's cheating, not sure if you guys usually do or don't or if that mercy stroke damage was with one. 300% TP on those, don't mean to say my average was 900+ or something. More like 650-700, so if mercy stroke puts out 1k that's really nice being that TP doesn't add damage.

I'm more impressed by the 944 Light than the 944 Shark Bite. :wink: Yeah with a BRD (Either AGI/DEX Etudes or Minuet) 900+ on a very well equipped Mithra THF can break 900, especially now with Assassin's Charge. This was pre-dagger patch also...I've seen it done multiple times. Really the burst damage on a THF nowadays is just rediculous, there's almost no need for DoT on HNMs anymore with the numbers they can bang out.

Nope but 7 mp a tick does, but not all BRDs have horn upgraded. Etudes and Minuet are the shit though and are a part in many a DD epenis screenshot.

Oh wait, I've never had to pay for a Dynamis, ever. And if someone said that to me, I'd be assuming that they'd take the currency and sell it all (which has happened in the past, sup Maleci). My linkshell sells and splits the Dynamis currency, so at least nobody walks away from Dynamis empty-handed.
