Seriously.. if you think bots (in their current state) > people really trying to claim ~ then you're a dipshit..
I don't know anything about computers? Tell that to the university thats about to issue me a diploma in computer science then....I'm sure they'd like to know I'm a phony and cheated my way through the past 4 years~
human's a lot > then machine when you can target fafnir when it loads.
except i can't target fafnir when it loads. because there's 200 people there.
I remember taking computer science in school. Isn't that like learning how to use Microsoft Word, and learning how to create/move/copy/delete folders?Originally Posted by rydiu

And you can send a signal to claim something that is targetted in memory, by the way. That's how the original MrArgus worked (pre-delay patch) and it was so bloody effective it was essentially unbeatable. The current MrArgus I assume works the same way, except instead of immediately triggering an action it intentionally waits based on a user-inputted delay.

which is why bots >>>> humans
sure a human would probably outclaim a bot if you had 2 alliances camping. but you never do. you usually have upwards of 5-10 and a few random single people getting ToD. there is no way a human can compete with a bot in those conditions.
I wouldn't call on that, there are people in your LS who have used bots before, does that mean your LS is lying? No. There is a big difference between an LS that openly bots and an LS that tries to keep away from it. As well, the 'problem' comes with bots in numbers, so an LS that has 1-3 people who have bots is nothing close to as much of a problem as the LS that brings 10+ and coordinates together.Originally Posted by Ayaz

And if it fails to claim on the first try, its waiting a good 3-4 seconds just like everyone else has to before you can try claiming again.Originally Posted by aurik

... sigh.
cause .. last time I checked when I hit stun too early it gets smacked with delay.. just like every other single ability in the game.
You know.. actually gets hit by the function of the patch.
the delay is always changing every so often as well
sometimes NM will pop and you can claim it ASAP and get, other times if you don't wait 2-4sec your fucked![]()
the fact that you think 18 bots will lose to 18 manual attempts to claim means you fail.
the fact that you think there's a packet sniffer for ffxi means you fail again and have no idea what you're talking about (though it's possible that cliff got passed the encryption but he will never make documentation nor an application to exploit it).
the fact that you just tried to back up your lame ass claims by saying you're going to get a computer science degree makes me frightful for people in my industry, stay the fuck out of it please.
thanks.
Hahahaahaa that was an excellent burn. I really did lol at work.Originally Posted by Dank

However - that is not reality. Ever.
18 bots, with maybe 1-2 on very fast systems and the rest on laggy shit systems will not outclaim 18 people, with a few on very fast systems and the rest on laggy shit sytems...
I know kids like you don't like to deal with reality much, but I am here to shove it in your face... read it and weep, sucka
Is that so? Allow me to introduce you to the booming business of broadband internet connectivity, especially among those in the 18-30 age group who play online video games, and more than likely aren't still playing on Commodore 64s or 28.8k modems.Originally Posted by rydiu
Your argument stands if, say, my grandmother played FFXI. It seems a degree in computer science doesn't guarantee that the bearer can process real world logic.
His argument doesn't even stand in that situation. The ability for a bot to (1) precisely identify the current Receive and Send time values and (2) allow for setting of staggering offsets (So that if there are 3 bots, the first fires at 1 sec, the second fires at 2 secs, the third fires at 3 secs), means his debate consists solely that humans have more heart than bots and we have the ability to fall in love.Originally Posted by Jeryhn

You're an idiot, I'm not going to bother with a retort to your ignorance/stupidity. Like I said "kid" please stay out of my industry. We don't need anymore fucking hacks thinking they know anything about computers/networking.Originally Posted by rydiu
