First of all, how does a 4 year degree in Computer Science of all subjectes provide an expert qualification. I'm assuming you go to UW, that implies that you need one network programming class to graduate. This means you know some basics about UDP, TCP, and authentication programs. You most likely have written some gay UDP based- timeserver client that is in all the steven's books on TCP/IP and sockets.

This hardly makes you an expert at understanding how bots work in ffxi. Now if you go to Washington State, all I can do is say lol and ask if they are accredited yet?

Secondly, from a probabilistic standpoint where I would have a good deal of knowledge since it is in my field of expertise (graduate degree + citations). It is more probable that 18 specified invervals chosen via modeling will yeild a greater average claim rate than 18 humans mashing buttons. The delay for claiming can be modeled as a pdf (probability density function) where the claim times can be set to maximize the probability of claiming. Since humans are less likely to match a model that would provide the greatest probability of claiming, they are less likely to claim.

Furthermore, I do believe that DSL has less latency than cable, and computer speed is irrelevant to when the signal gets sent, it's just an offset.

And don't even go there with dial-up..you can not claim shit if thats what you use...

the only thing a CS degree does is disprove that statement about knowing nothing about computers...even if you barely graduate, having the degree implies you know at least so much.
