job priority for Kirin Osode

I was gonna say there's no fucking way you'd give a BST an adaberk over a WAR or a DRK then I realized I gave 3 of them to BSTs <_<

In my hypocritical defense one of the BSTs lost 20 thousand exp stopping a 35 minute train that the GMs were way too fucking stupid and lazy to put to an end so it was the reddest adaberk I've ever seen.

lol monk has a high attack build as is, making osode > shura in exp. If u think shura is better.... Hmmm ill just say than u got some pretty gimp ass mnks on ur server lol. No other body outparses haub on dot on nin and sam. If u wear osode on those 2 jobs or any other body af2 ect... Im sure its cause you rather not pay for a haub since others are decent. Brd's should use errant on all hnms i would say but i guess its really up to them cant really say its not useful for them since i guess it depends on ur build merits, and how much u actually spam.

prio still rng > mnk/sam and what ever else u want to do.

Imo, it depends on your LS. Definitely give to who put thier time in, and didn't just join, or any dumb shit like that.

For usage, I'd say

Mnk (If your shell is heavy on Chis) >

Sam/Rng (Meh, equal imo. They both have similar body items.) >

Brd (17 Vit difference from Errant, 3 Enmity for 30 MP. I have a fuckton of -enmity, I'd take the 30 MP. (Although I <3 Refresh bodys.) >

War (Steel Cyclone is what they use mainly for HNMs, may as well build on that. But if you use this full time, you're fucking stupid, and need to have your account hacked.) >

Nin (Meh, who cares. Spike damage on Jin, although Haub will win the parse. Meleeing in it is gimp, and too many fucking Nins do it. Use a Haub/Togi. Arhat's +1 > than it for tanking.) >

Bst (lolbst. Af and Apollo's are all you need for charm. Have Haub for TP, Neptunal/Haub/Adaberk for rampage.)

Whoever mentioned HQ JSE body being better than Osode for SAM, that's not really the case unless you're fighting Fafnir/Nidhogg, which even then it's not needed to have the weaponskill accuracy stuff. SAMs can double attack at WS if they wear brutal earring, and the osode will help the double attack a little, albeit only a little.

Coming from NIN75 BRD75 COR75 PLD75, I'd say...

RNG -> SAM -> MNK (just for chiblast or SA Dragon Kick, useless otherwise) -> NIN (Jin has STR and DEX modifiers) -> WAR (Steel Cyclone) -> BRD/BST (30 MP is good for both jobs, I use osode as BRD unless I'm fighting Tiamat or Nidhogg)

tbh.. kirin osode is pretty shitty now adays... if you really think about it...

I don't really know another MNK body with 10 mind... and if you are just using them for chi-blast.. sure... but unless you really care about monking everything... once you leave sky your monks become plan B. If you have a lot of monks, chi blast order can be OK damage. If you have very few monks - than you wont really be using them too often unless they are smart and sleeping potion/TA dragonkick or something..

For Samurai - the HQ JSE body is way fucking better. you lose 1 STR and get weaponskill accuracy --- coming from an LS where we build 90% of our skillchains with just samurais.. they miss... they miss alot... and then you hear 5 blackmages go "UGHGHHHHHH"... of course.. getting HQ JSE body is another thing... but still.. if you want /perfect/ - - osode isn't what you're looking for.

Warrior - steel cyclone. thats it. rampage spam is way fucking better DOT and .. yeah thats it.

Ranger - Going slug.. ohh.. i missed.

BST.. for charm? Hauby for melee, and what? idk.

BRD -- useless. use errant body or mins. coat - the minus emnity or the skill --- depending on what you want to argue makes a bard a bard. ya?

Ninja - Now this one is cute. I really don't know what to say about Ninja. Personally, Ninja in osode is pretty good - but at the same time - if ur going for DoT on nin ur using af1 body or haubergion. When my nins tank they usually use that purple body with the plus emnity... cause ninjas gotta keep up with the plds. you can be heavy macro user and use osode too.. but its... a lot of work... but fuck - ninja has just as much right to use an osode as a lot of these jobs do.

TO SUM IT UP.... and my thinking is a little fucked up so ...

1~ Ranger (cause they dont get much) or MNK (if you actually use them..)
2~ Samurai or Ninja - read all that shit.
3~ Warrior (steel cyclone)
4~ Bard/Beast - because IMO both don't need it.

For Trick Attack + WS (or just any WS that's not SA'd and is sure to hit), especially on HNM, you shouldn't even be considering using Osode. Haubergeon or Haubergeon+1 are superior, you should be stacking a mixture of Attack, STR and accuracy. Enough to make sure you hit every time without sacrificing too much attack/STR.

I think a ranger using slug or side at an HNM where they can go with a thief with arching/heavy to make light is 10x better, at fafnir for instance I can keep SC with 3x thieves, its a constant light every 6 shots with gun, Im usually waiting on thieves and blms to be ready
slug is epeen and a smart ranger can macro in a shit ton of r-acc to help its miss modifier go away without hurting the damage

It's flukish really. Some Fafnir/Nidd fights I'll miss more weaponskills than I care to admit, and some I never miss at all. Our last Fafnir I hit every single one. There's a better geared Samurai who flukishly misses her TA + Weaponskill as often as I would on my worst day...

Of all the jobs that can wear Osode, no other job makes the most use out of it as Ranger, having no other piece of gear that even comes close.

Does this mean there should be job priority on the Osode? Depends, but if you don't you have to be prepared to do the same with all the other items in the game (Hai2u Ridill drama).

i got an osode for my BRD on sunday, because I have a shitton of points in my LS and nothing to spend them on. (note: not spend any since i helped found(sp?) the LS nearly a year ago) I only use BRD for meripo, but i love my osode because i think it makes me look cool >.>

i dont really think osodes should go to certain jobs over another if people have put subtantial amounts of effort in then they should be rewared regardless of job.
