This topic is pretty ridiculous even by KI WAR Forum standards. Quick, someone mention tungi!
What the fuck is with every War full time meleeing in Osode these days?
Tungi has a hidden effect of +50% DA. My JP friend told meOriginally Posted by Bagel

Stay away from unicorn shoes, the likelihood youll be at white hp enough to even get the haste at a consistant enough rate as opposed to a full time 2% haste boost from dusk is rather low especially if youre in a 4 DD TP burn.
Simple way of looking at haste from a DD perspective is just think of it as an increase in dmg per hit. Haste doesn't change accuracy so total delay isnt' an issue for comparison.
Let's say you have X much haste, adding one more haste will get you 1 more tp to WS round per 100 tp to WS rounds. You can just average this dmg out across your dmg per hit to figure if it is better to go with attack or str in the slot as opposed to haste.
A simple case would be where your average hit is 100 dmg and your average ws is 1000dmg. So for 7 tp per hit it would take you around 15 hits to get enough tp for ws.
That means per round you do 2500 dmg. Adding 1 haste would add 2500 dmg to 100 rounds worth of dmg or 250,000. Since haste gear does not change WS dmg (and you probably don't have any haste gear equipped while doing a ws) you would need to do a bit more per hit to equal that of a haste build (assuming same acc).
Out of the 100 rounds there was a total of 100,000 dmg from WS's and 150,000 dmg from hits. For 1500 hits you would need to do 101.6667 dmg per hit to equal one more haste. Two haste would be 103.333 dmg, X much haste would be 100 + X*1.6667.
So haste isn't always the way to go, it just depends on what gear is available to you, your average dmg per hit, and your average ws dmg.
...what about the fact that Haste also gets Utsusemi timers back up faster to lessen damage received?Originally Posted by epigram

There's the reason your melees are dying to Fang Rushes, not because they're blinking out.
