What's so bad about Unicorn Leggings? Unless you have HQ Dusk feet, you're in white HP at least 2/3rds of the time, and thats enough to make it just as good as Dusk. (since its 50% more haste) Also unless you're in a static camp, you can't ignore the -12% movement on Dusk, and when you combine it with hands, its fucking hell. Have fun switching into WS gear, and then back into melee gear everytime you disengage a mob, meleeing in 4/5 Heca will really kill your DoT.

Even though I dissed Unicorn Leggings earlier, it really depends on your PT setup. Are you the main tank most of the party? If you have a good WHM you should be ok, but if you're just getting by on healing with a RDM and a BRD, then Id recommend not using them.

Forgive me, I meant, Heca for WS. I hope no WAR uses Heca for TP gain.

And ya you're right about 2x Dusk slowing you way down for roaming camps,
I use Adaman sollerts for TP gain until I get Amir feet, I think hands down that's the best foot piece for TP gain war Ridill or not, but even dusk nq the 1% haste less full time to 1% more not full time is a better investment.

Every roaming tp gain I've been in once you start hitting chain 15+ the rdm or whm is worrying more about keeping the brd puller alive than the melee, so you usually sit at about orangeish HP until the brd has time to pop a curaga. Especially in Bhaf when you got the occaissional skoffin Unicorn are just plain doodoo, and that's not opinion that's fact.

I think if you're going to drop some dough on Unicorn leggings just spend it on nq dusk leds.

And my statement about Unicorn has been since Shrine pt's in sky, where it gets to be pretty much the same situation. After chain 10+ you get hit with so many Whirling Rage's and Smite's you're not often sitting just above orange with 4 mobs slept next to you.

All depends on who you PT with. I PT with my own LS RDMs and WHMs, who usually know to KEEP me in the white, and (depending on who Im with) do so very well. I don't EXP much in pickups (actually...never) so I could only imagine how pointless they could be with a RDM or WHM who is clueless as how to do their job. Regardless I think we're all aware when each set of feet (Dusk/Unicorn/Amir) are best used, so no point in pointing it out.

Ya I've pt'd with my own friends and LS mages and when it's 4 DD BRD RDM it can be hard to keep up sometimes is all.

And ya as far as being aware, everyone is essentially aware but has different opinions and flames people accordingly everywhere from Rabbi Tom's wife LOLPOORWAR to the Bad Boy 4 Life crew LOLNQHAUBERKANDAF1HANDS.

I think it's pretty retarded that the criteria to clown someone is so broad, and people will gang up and agree with stupid shit against a common pariah. I think in that whole thing 5 pages of flame against Takedown someone was like "LOL YOU DON'T EVEN KISS YOUR FATHER"

"LOL WAT I KISS MY FATHER ALL THE TIME WHAT A SUCK WAR DOESN'T KISS HIS FATHER ON THE LIPS"

People need to calm the fuck down and just make fun of the guy that uses accuracy gear for rampage.

Any LS WHM and RDM should understand the basic rules of support:

    1) Keep WARs in the white
    2) Keep BLMs and BRDs in the yellow
    3) Haste
    4) Refresh

Ehh, sometimes RDM, WHM, BRD, WAR, WAR, WAR PTs are really enough to keep chains going at a very fast pace. 3 Hasted WARs constantly chaining, Dia 2/3 constantly on mobs > 4 unsupported WARs in the yellow all of the time. I'd give up 1-2k an hour to have a little security in my EXP PTs, and not have to worry about taking an R1 anytime, especially fighting Wyverns. (sup Dispelling Wind.)

Why is keeping a WAR in the white something any LS whm should know, when a war in the yellow is like 900 HP, with shadows up you can take some hits without sucking, especially in a WAR PT you have backup vokes and warcry and ws to take hate. Unless you're just a WAR whining to be topped off for Unicorn latent.

And why BRD yellow? For JSE ring? Ya BRD have decent HP but they take some hits, and crits drop them like 300 any time. Especially since good BRD are pulling constantly I'd rather have a brd in the white than a war with 3% more haste when he's in the white. It's just practicality at this point.

So I'll have to disagree with you, good sir, on saying any LS WHM or RDM JUST HAS TO KNOW TO KEEP WAR IN THE WHITE in TP burns.

And ya Locke, that's kindof why you sacrifice the being in white, so you all have Haste from the RDM. Haste spell > White HP 3% Haste Latent. RDM BRD > WHM RDM BRD XP. Unless your WHM is dropping double deuce Banish V's like zombies drop black people in the movies. @_@

Well, at least in my LS and merit PTs, people know to keep the BRDs and BLMs in the yellow because they bitch at you if you cure them to full... especially right after the gear swapped themselves down into the yellow. As far as keeping WARs white, anyone who has gotten used to keeping BLMs and BRDs yellow likely will be asked to keep WARs white at some point and will learn to do so.

Actually you can do 4 PLD/NIN and 2 BRDs now with the Auto Refresh trait on PLDs. I put together a couple before, it worked pretty well. Did shrine main camp x2 and was constantly clearing both sides having to wait for repops ocasionally. Keep in mind the three other PLDs have exellent DD gear and knew how to play and what to do, it was a fun night for all of us to build up our buffers lol.

But I'd much rather have 3 decked out WAR/NINs and RDM WHM BRD in Ule Range vs a 4th WAR because just too much shit can happen there and 3 Decked out WARs can dfefeintly keep endless chains going if they know what they are doing and have no compition on mobs.

    4 WARs + BRDs FTW!
I think alot depends on the player's skills and also slightly less critical stuff like what weapon setup etc.

I've tried RDM BRD 4 melee setup, works well.
I'd say for 3 pimped ridills WARs with max merits etc,
RDM BRD BRD back line would be sweet. (Haste + Dual Minuet + Dual March ftw!)

But with 3 dual-axe WARs, maybe getting a RDM COR BRD back line would have arguably better damage output.

Or you could just not have a shitty mage or two and keep white HP unicorn latent as well as haste spells on the WARs? Goddamn lazy people these days, huh?

Thangor or w/e the melee smn's name is was the one claiming that TP burn has no mages in it. So it should be under the Claustrum testing thread.
