I wouldn't be surprised if he was. I miss the good old days where HNMs would roam for days on end before anyone attempted to take em down.

Look at it this way...
The shells you see claiming kings these days are typically running 10 or so copies of ffxiapp...
ffxiapp has a built in feature to stun bot..
I hate slipperly slope arguments as much as the next guy, but it isn't hard to imagine how common this type of thing probably is.
I have never seen the actual program, but I don't see why it would be hard to setup a stun order even.. just activate it when its your turn and turn if off after you stun.
Nothing like seeing 7 (seven) stuns go off on the same gates of hades >_>
They should have changed Cerberus to become immune to stun similarly to Bahamut after a certain number of Stuns. A lot less NQ linkshells would be wearing Algols.
hey.. stunning gates is a bitch..![]()
there are so many chat filters you have to setup to have the perfect "I see gates" log... and even then - latency, reaction time - - - blackmages, redmage/drks, and drks should fucking hate cerberus -- cause atleast in my linkshell.. when u miss stun i go ballistic and cuss you out on vent. lol..
edit: I SO WENT OFF TOPIC. lol
azns are good at video games
gates is the kinda move that kills you with psychology.
if you've ever seen a gates, you know it sucks. the animation reeks of "god we just got owned" and the burn is vinegar on the damage wound. basically, gates sucks and you dont want it to go off, ever
so if you have a stun order and its not your turn but you see
Cerberus readies Gates of Hades
and you dont see someone stunning, your reaction might be to stun anyway
therefore you fuck up the order and everyone dies
that happened my first cerb, killed it easily ever since tho![]()
cerberus resists stuns -.-
atleast from my thf/drk it was rejecting about half of em.
yea its gonna resist anyone without a dark skill on main job, it resists our nin/drk sometimesOriginally Posted by NynJa
thats why nin/drk, thf/drk etc are free stunners not in order ;p
Woah!
It would be a lot more luck based then. Gates is nasty, if it was kept as powerful as it is but still got through occasionally you're just going to have random wipes, which sucks.Originally Posted by Jeryhn
Cerberus is SE's attempt at a melee friendly mob. The spikes are a joke, the breath is pretty weenie to meleers, the stoneskin means it gets 0 TP for a while from melee, and the paralyze is annoying but paralyna is cheap and fast to cast. Then there is Gates of Hades which is a great big "fuck you" to non-mages who can't stand outside of it. If it wasn't stunnable everyone would throw smn and blm at it like every other stinking mob in the game.
Lockecole was telling me last night how a pick-up JP Bard in one of his parties was able to sing lullaby and stop every single one of the Crawler's they were fighting's TP moves.
stun bots...... /spit
didnt berticus have some sort of stun bot when he played?
If he was playing 2 accounts on 2 diff computers side by side, he might be able to watch one screen with the chat log in full screen mode, since in full screen you typically see the chat messages pop-up instantly as opposed to them scrolling up in the regular chat window during play (much slower).Originally Posted by Sykes
Upon seeing GOH readied, he could have had Cerebus on <stnpc> with Stun, and just clicked on Enter when he saw the message pop up on other screen.
Apart from that, cant really think of much that could possibly be faster. (an average 'quick' human reflex time is about 0.2 sec)
Yes he was dual-boxing, one on a PC and one on a PS2. The drama was over using a stunbot on the PC version (BLM acct taken over from someone else who quit last year).
Since he quit recently, there is speculation over what character he's levelling next. And as a tertiary drama his first and second characters were HumeF, and he happily pretended to be a RL girl to get extra favors from testosterone-laden boys. ANYWAY that's all moot now.
Since when did Phoenix become such a Midgaard-like dramafest? D_D
If GOH has the cast time of "Whirl of Rage". It would still be very stunnable. To be able to stun anything that procs a couple of seconds faster than that consistently 4 times in a row might be debatable. I would imagine this dude focusing intensely on the full screen log on one screen with his hand every ready to click enter on the other. Dont forget in that same time frame of 0.2-0.3 secs he would have to read Gate of Hades, and pick that out in his brain from the other /jas and then make the decision to click.Originally Posted by Halon50
I'm here to second this. It wasn't actually me, it was about 4 LS members, and my LS member even showed me a pic where she STARTED casting Lullaby WAY before Cocoon was even readied. (Yes, readied, not used.) It was obvious botting of some sort, or some sort of parser that parsed TP gained on a mob, (also factoring in 4 different subtle blows of 4 different melees.) I'm not sure what it was, but it was definately some sort of program, and looked suspiciously automatic. It was a JP BRD named Airgirl on Siren server. Rank 10, JP /seacom so not a gilfarmer, even though the name sounded similar. She was a really good BRD, even beside the amazing "Lullaby-stunning".Originally Posted by Russta
