Stun-botting Tiamat?

Yes he was dual-boxing, one on a PC and one on a PS2. The drama was over using a stunbot on the PC version (BLM acct taken over from someone else who quit last year).

If GOH has the cast time of "Whirl of Rage". It would still be very stunnable. To be able to stun anything that procs a couple of seconds faster than that consistently 4 times in a row might be debatable. I would imagine this dude focusing intensely on the full screen log on one screen with his hand every ready to click enter on the other. Dont forget in that same time frame of 0.2-0.3 secs he would have to read Gate of Hades, and pick that out in his brain from the other /jas and then make the decision to click.

Heh, you're getting the mobs mixed up. This was stunning Tiamat TP moves, not Cerberus. GOH has a longer readying time than blast or wing.

Everyone is also ignoring the fact that if you were actually at a tiamat fight, to do absolutely nothing but try to stun TP moves is a complete waste of time. The amount of damage from wing or blast isn't that bad that you should dedicate someone to just stunning them. It's just sad.

Lockecole was telling me last night how a pick-up JP Bard in one of his parties was able to sing lullaby and stop every single one of the Crawler's they were fighting's TP moves.

I'm here to second this. It wasn't actually me, it was about 4 LS members, and my LS member even showed me a pic where she STARTED casting Lullaby WAY before Cocoon was even readied. (Yes, readied, not used.) It was obvious botting of some sort, or some sort of parser that parsed TP gained on a mob, (also factoring in 4 different subtle blows of 4 different melees.) I'm not sure what it was, but it was definately some sort of program, and looked suspiciously automatic. It was a JP BRD named Airgirl on Siren server. Rank 10, JP /seacom so not a gilfarmer, even though the name sounded similar. She was a really good BRD, even beside the amazing "Lullaby-stunning".

Do you have to /check each person to find out their gear, and ask for their merits, for the bot to work correctly?

atleast from my thf/drk it was rejecting about half of em.

yea its gonna resist anyone without a dark skill on main job, it resists our nin/drk sometimes

thats why nin/drk, thf/drk etc are free stunners not in order ;p

I never got a good chance to look at all his gear... but I saw a THF/BLU Head Butt stun GoH...

I wanted to cry. Or get back to levelling my BLU ^^

the guy that made lunar has horid security on his site, you can actualy browse the whole thing. including some interesting things that im not sure he really wants public.

i think it's their own port of some software called AutoIT with the FFACT librarys added in. (basicaly the source for Lunar >.>) i wonder if he put any hidden stuff in here ^.^

also i love on the site how the proclaim that lunar is not for scripting bots, yet there is sourcesode for his own bot writen in lunar lololol

The bot doesn't have to parse tp gain on a mob, some mob related events that are stunnable are sent to the game client with a future timestamp before they actually occur (are readied visually and displayed in the chatlog). This is done to hide latency and designed this way server side to give the player a chance to send the appropriate packet back to the server. The server will decide resist/no resist or whatever and send another event packet to the game client.
