lol, just checked on mine today and its illness was cured (fed it two tokopekko grass and two veggie pastes). Kind of lame now because Day 12's plan of 1-day rest is locked in and now I'm paranoid the coma glitch is gonna kick in again. From now on, I'll just set it to Basic Care whenever he gets sick.

mine woke up the day after i discovered it was coma-ing... so it only did for 2 days.

what have you been feeding it/what do u have its schedule set to? lots of music?

The day after it was born it went into a 7 day coma after i set it to a rest(assumed it had to be set to rest to reocover stamina like many here thought)... Been feeding vegtable paste onry and been doing pretty much 3 walks and the rest watch over your chocobo. I also got story of a youthful chocobo. NPC said its been waking up really early or something like that as well. It hasn;t listened to music once oddly enough, lol.

When it goes into this coma, it basically is just set to "rest" for a long time? Maybe what's happening is you set Rest for 7 days, then after the first day, there's no way to go back on that until the 7 days are up. When the first day of a care plan takes effect, you're locked in until it's over.

That's been the case with my care plans so far. new ones don't take effect until whatever I set originally is finished, even if I overwrite it.

If it is like that, its isolated. Mine was asleep for 3 days and I set it to rest for 1.

On a random note: I somehow managed to meet Spring and Pulonono 4 consecutive times today. Was kinda wierd. No new Dialouge other than "Keep up the good work with spring!"

My chocobo gave me the "patient, good for carrying goods" message on day 12 as well (mine was a "faintly" male chocobo egg). It also got sick with illness for the very first time that same day, so I had to give him toko.grass. I can't think of a reason why it got sick, except that I gave him slightly different food the day before (i give him 3 different foods but that day i changed a paste for a green), but I don't think that would cause illness, so maybe it's just random.

On day 12 mine became an asshole, which is apparently ideal for military usage. It hasn't gotten sick, but did need a handkerchief, and is repeatedly giving me the "Perky lately" message. I'm feeding it Azouph/Sharug greens.

Have there been any discoveries regarding the effects of Parasite Worms? How about the "wrong time" to feed a chocobo at worm? The NPC says that if you feed a chocobo a worm at the wrong time all your efforts might have been wasted.

I had a theory about Parasite worm which seems to makes sense. Since the effect of food is very marginal according to the NPC, and is almost negligible when compared to the activities you can do for your chocobo, the parasite worm might develop (over time) into a parasite in your chocobo which eats parts of it's food, allowing it to eat more food since it won't be "completely full" as often. That way you can eat more of these foods so their small effect adds up over time.

Also, to all the people spending money on the AH greens and stuff, why are you spending money on that stuff? The NPC said himself food is almost pointless when compared to the activites you can do for your chocobo. So as I see it, unless you know exactly how the system works, why waste money on such a marginal increase, especially on the "Test Chocobo" generation.
