Chocobo Raising Now Available! (08/21/2006)

Just did the "Regular" walk care option and was challenged to a race after receiving a CS, which opened up another care selection "Compete with others". I'm sure this is just another "care" option, but at least its opening up a bit.

Edit- Yeah, its the egg from the same ISNMs we spammed when they were released. Did you win your race Gulk, or did "Best" beat yours too?

Any confirmation on personality leading to chocobo color? Mine still has no personality with 2 hours to go, I don't want a yellow chocobo ;;;;

I got Blue as well. Although if you look at the back feathers the very back ones, they look blackish, but rather light black.

I'm thinking anyone with this color can either have a blue or black depending on how you further raise it.

Seems you get the other Stories by Regular walks and Long walks.
Met Hanilton on a Regular walk, and im from Windy. Met air. Regular walks take ALOT of stamina.

Read my Chocobo a story too, but he didnt learn anything.

Mines kinda blue. Looks Grayish Blue, dunno what it'll be.

Is that maybe what is missing for now with the whole...

It was stated in the June 19 Topics that a chocobo’s appearance would change along with its attributes. Due to an extension of the testing period, these changes will now be implemented in a following version update.

ok so the dark blue chocobo looks nice. the light blue, red and green chocobos look like they were spraypainted...

Mine is white tipped, from the Puk ISNM. I did about 50/50 walk in town and listen to music.

can people also post what egg they used and what program (and maybe even food) they used, next to their cocobo's color? Like in Dezzimal's post.
That would make it easier to figure out what causes the color differences.

So far I am guessing you get white by keeping it balanced with stats, black by going for physical attributes (walks) and blue is by raising mental attributes (music)?
Mine should get its color tomorrow

Got the egg from ISBC60, the one with the colibri. I made it do basic care and take a lot of walks. It coma'd for 2 days once but i fixed that. Ate mostly Vomp carrots but used to eat san d'orian carrots. Now that it takes twice as much to fill it up im switchin back to san d'orian carrots too. Everyday i used all its energy with 3 walks and watching over it.

Had the whole ideal for Miletary use description ISNM Puk egg. Did mostly walks and no music except for one time.

I forgot to mention, that each day I only walked/watched it once. Heres a concise listing

Feather Tip Color: White
Walk Frequency: 1 per day
Watch Frequency: 1 per day
Care Plan: 50% Music, 50% Walk in Town
Feed: All Vegetable Paste

Well it's just a first guess to get people started thinking about it, but so far 3 seem to be explained this way.
For the green red, again just guessing, but probably refinements of white or blue chocobos in its teen to adult stage, or from freak breeding combinations (yellow+blue maybe gives green? who knows, but some day we'll have the chart...)
