I have chocobos on two characters. The chocobo for my main doesn't go below parent affection because of delivering packages, but the chocobo for my second character does. I always do the same care actions with both chocobos.Originally Posted by loial
Septimus's chocobo has a sensitive personality, has never lost a race, and stats seem to move up sooner than Atumre's chocobo- beyond that there is absolutely no difference between the two as far as I can see.
Sept is Atumre supposed to be Atom Ray or am I making things up again?

I'm almost 100% confident this is the way it will work; as I mentioned a few pages back (around 60?). The idea of abilities being passed on (like in pokemon) that somebody mentioned earlier is worth noting too. Also, to all of you questioning how to raise chocobos without decreasing other stats, Basic Care!Originally Posted by Not Kuno

At this point breed with someone thats been doing the same thing except with the smarts. When they breed you just keep doing basic care and it should be enough to get really high in everything.

Yep. That will probably be the best way to do it. Also, it's worth mentioning that the decrease arrows in the table might be very insignificant and could be as minute as food, making it possible to get an exceptional chocobo in much fewer pedigrees.
If you speak to the guy you get honeymoon tickets from and discuss breeding, he does state that some stats are passed from parent to child, attributes are passed from parent to child, and the honeymoon ticket type used may boost certain stats as well.Originally Posted by Not Kuno
My Chocobo's endurance dropped from substandard to poor; ;
Did you tell him stories, scold him, feed him Zegham carrots, or have him Listen to Music/Play/Exhibit to the Public?Originally Posted by Julian
My chocobo got lvl3 endurance today. :O
Ditto! Going to work out pretty good, the next tier of care you get the big arrow thing for strength. There isn't one for endurance.Originally Posted by Not Kuno
Has anyone Scolded their chocobo? Is there any penalty for it, or is it merely a Receptivity-enhancing activity (as bad as it might make you feel to do it)?
So first we have to have a generation of crappy chocobos to breed into not as crappy chocobos which we later breed into decent chocobos which (if we're extremely lucky and develop some kind of breeding bot) will eventually lead us to future generations of rediculously overpowered chocobos.
Ain't evolution grand?
I'd be willing to scold mine with impunity if I had the option to do it, but first I need to figure out how to get her spoiled rotten so its an option.Originally Posted by Khamsin
When you scold it says your chocobo holds its head in shame. And shows it doing it.
