From the race it looks like my chocobo is low speed, but high stamina since the black chocobo was slowing down over time but mine was constant speed XD

Stories do have a bearing, but Discernment affects the rate your bird learns abilities. Considering all the birds in the game are dumbshits atm, they haven't learned a thing yet.

It's perfect English. The fact that I said "all two abilities" should imply all two abilities that a single chocobo is capable of learning, out of the 5 total. For example, say for Divine Might you were able to pick two earrings, instead of just one. Someone could say "Have you gotten all two of your earrings from DM yet?" and it would make perfect sense. Same for someone saying "Has your chocobo learned all two of its abilities yet?" Or, if you prefer the word "both" (same thing), you could say "Has your chocobo learned both of its abilities yet?" I'm certain for anyone else, it makes complete sense.

My chocobo ended up being black without any variation on the wingtip coloring. Not too bad, wasn't really shooting for anything specific aside from something other than the standard yellow.

After all the reading about the chocobos, its clear that it's dependant on how you raise the chocobo that determines the color.
