When mine got lovesick I had him release some tension by going on a date with a cheap-foozie-chocobess and make an egg (it was with a random bazaared card so I won't use it I think). I will know tomorrow if it worked or not.

o.o/ I do believe that being "Love sick" is not actually a sickness... Maybe a chance for an HQ egg that day or something, but that might not be implimented yet.

Has anyone actually noticed any bad side effects from having a broken leg/being love sick/being sick/wanting to race/wanting to go on a walk?

At first I thought they took some hp off, but that was just my care plans.
Maybe it has to do with affection?
While lovesick, you dont get as much affection from walks?

i think if the choco is not his normal self or the super happy one, the success of actions that day are lowered... like getting stories from walks or winning races.

best is um ... blacker than my choco
its always had a purple tint

somehow it still looks black to me but im not sure it really is black

not possible. post a pictue I will definitively tell you whether your chocobo is black or purple.

There is no purple. There is only black, blue and yellow. Blue looks purplish, a bit, but it is blue. Black looks charcoal gray, a bit, but it is black. Post-update there will also be the possibility of red and another color as yet undisclosed.

If you ask me, the Japanese concept of blue is a little strange. Their traffic lights are the same color as in North America, but people refer to them as red-yellow-blue (not green). After a while you get used to it.

In other news my second bird reached Day 19 last night and, like the first one, was chocoborted for the crime of being yellow. You'd think after a steady diet of only Vomp carrots the thing would have been orange from the beta carotene alone. -.-

Another 19 days of this? I don't think so. Going to postpone any further attempts at chocobo raising until after the update.

If you ask me, the Japanese concept of blue is a little strange. Their traffic lights are the same color as in North America, but people refer to them as red-yellow-blue (not green). After a while you get used to it.

I remember in a Linguistics course I took in college that they talked about the concept of "grue", which is some languages only have one word to describe blue and green and generally they consider either green or blue to be the "purer" version of the color.

I would talk about it more, but Wikipedia just kicks too much ass and explains everything on the planet.

theres also the philosphy class classic epistemology (theory of knowledge) discussion on grue and bleen, where time is a component of color, and how its impossible to say a grue object appeared green in the past and is blue now or a bleen object was blue in the past but green now or wether its just plain old blue and green...or soemthing like that that is confusing as all hell.

My guy was spoiled today. If you havn't seen it, theres a little cutscene that goes with it, and it was funny as hell. Basicly, you see Hantileon walk around and your choco squeels and he walks to it. He looks at it and walks away and it squeels some more and he walks back again. Finally he walks away again and he starts squeeling some more and it just looks at him and he does a /upset or /sigh and for some reason I couldn't stop laughing.

Hmm... try getting chococards from 2 of the color you want? Well you'd probably want to wait til after the update to actually use the cards, but I'd think it should have a high probability of getting the color you want.

I love the scene for getting lost delivering messages, run out, look one way, run off the screen the other way... then run back across the way he looked first lol

This sounds like the best plan by far. It seems no matter what kind of ISMN/bought/quested egg is used, the likelihood of yellow remains 70 to 75%. 2 blue or black chococards have got to offer better odds than that.

Amazing is the fact that you can buy 2 cards of people that have really really good chocobos right? and breed them togeather to get a hybrid chocobo with really good stats. Or does a chocobo you have in the stable have to be bread w/ someone elses? either way if you found a card for a choco w/ STRlvl6 ENDlvl6 and bread it w/ a lvl2str/end wouldnt it be a substantial boost?
