Well the NPC tells you that you cannot ever obtain a second VCS card if you lose one. It's not used up when you trade it to the trainer.

Or did you mean a chococard? I'd assume they're still 500 gil for retired chobis.

My chocobo got yet another stat increase today (the 2nd one since the day43 message, now day 45), this time in discernment which is now level 5, so all stats still go up.
On the other hand, it's STILL lovesick, and today it had lovesick and an injured leg both at the same time (the injured leg though at least has a simple cure).
I went all out and tried to read the same story 21 times in a row (using 2 chocoelixirs), and he still didn't learn a new ability =P

Wait, they don't keep track of your retired chocobos for you? You have to keep an actual card in your inventory for each retired chocobo you own, and can never toss and get another?

It looks that way. Yay for another POS taking up inventory space. Not to mention the piece of furniture you get when you retire your chocobo.

They should keep track of all the retired chocobos on the server, and make a menu at an NPC to allow you to choose which retired chocobo to get a card from for mating/riding.

I don't think people's stats can increase anymore. This is the 3rd day in a row and no stat change, and lately he's been aggrivated one day, had to discipline him another, was sick the next and now he's aggrivated again. I'm probably just gonna retire the fucker. -.- Maybe your stats increased because it was right there on the edge.

Impressive? Is that the level above "Above Average"? x.x Jeez. Mine is still only Average and that's what I've mostly focused on. Guess I didn't focus enough baby STR food on him or anything. Well hopefully his Str will at least go to Above Average tomorrow or something..

I've been trying to raise my black chocos affection for like 4 days, taking it on long walks and only affection raising actions. I only have it exercising alone yet it still "only slight enjoys my company". If i just say fuck it to affection and throw it on delivering messages will it have any negative effects? my choco won't run away or anything if it starts to hate me will it?

If you can get it...I fail to see a need for breeding, unless you want to whore Basic care to First Class in all.

He actually WILL run away, I think I saw a NPC line about it in politools(sp).

I want some of the abilities I guess. But I'm definatly keeping this chocobo no matter what else I raise.

My chocobo finally returned to normal from being lovesick for so many days. I got a message saying he was in love but now he's ok and his appetite is also back to normal, which could mean one of the things lovesick does is also mess up with the effect of feeding him something.

I tried to spam reading stories now that it was normal but he still didn;t learn an ability even with level 5 discernment...

I really hope they don't auto-retire for a while longer until I can at least learn one.

My guess is that rental strength/endurance is First Class and that all the ranks below it just get closer and closer to it, like an asymptote. There likely is no speed or duration higher than rental.
