Well there are still 2 levels above that, Outstanding and First-Class.
Congratulations on getting level 6 strength though btw :wink:

The only time I would really care much about exceptional chocobo speed (aside from racing which is still an unknown) would be during the "return the chocobo to the stable" quest, and in that one you can't use your own chocobo anyways so it's not even an issue.

I really like to be able to call my own chocobo from most places though.
I still wish they would extend the areas you can call it in to any area where chocobo mazurka works at least, and also add more places where I can call my NPC to the new areas, sea, and a few other reasonable places.

Raising a new choco, Day 18 and is still a baby/chic. Is this normal, or is it retarded?

On a side note, it has substandard strength as a baby.

So my chocobo has it's head in the clouds and is in love even though I haven't tried to mate him. -.- Time to shoot him.

Also, I still haven't gotten my chococard from the trainer and I'm still on my first chocobo. (Day 48.) Wonder if I don't get it now, if I'll be able to get that chococard or if it'll be given to me when it's forced to retire.

You can get a chococard by trading the VCS registration card you get when it is retired.

Just get a few chococards anytime you want. No need to wait until it retires, I am sure you can afford the 500 gil, you just have to ask the trainer for a card (one of the menu choices), he's not going to just give you one if you never ask for one.

my chocobo just learned Gallop at Average Discernment while ill and lovesick

after the little cutscene he recovered about 50% of the health bar too >_>

Do any of the abilities affect your chocobo while riding? Or do they have no effect at all (possibly during racing, but we can't confirm they'll do anything during racing either, yet).

On day 48 my ForestSage learned "Cantor" and got discernment up to "Impressive".
I really wanted to learn burrow first, i spammed that story 10x compared to the cantor one, but I get the impression they are predisposed to learn some abilities more easily than others (it learned cantor the first time I used it today, after about 5 of the burrow one..) It recovered about 20% of his health after learning it.

I wonder what cantor does, my only guess is that it is related to receptivity obviously, so something to do with social interactions with other chocobos... Maybe it will sing them to sleep during a race?

Meh. It wasn't that exactly. I was just curious that if.. I happened to forget to ask for one, would I receive one anyway after it was forcefully retired. Oh well, question answered anyway. Thanks.

Why would Canter have anything to do with Receptivity or singing? It's a horseriding speed just like gallop... only slower and more steady. Perhaps its an Endurance-related thing.

It's "Canter," I believe. The basic gaits of a horse are Walk, Trot, Canter, plus Gallop.

Did SE misspell it? Because that would be almost as funny as visualizing a chobi in full-on cantor gear.
