good luck shinobi maybe you hit the parasite worm jackpot![]()
So anyone else have a disfunctional chocobo and can't wait for this update to start a new one?
My experience with worms: I have only used 2 worms, 1 gregarious and 1 parasite on different days on my chick. I used them on days when I got the "perky" message. The gregarious gave me 20-25% energy back. The parasite changed its personality.Originally Posted by Plow
I had read about the personality change somewhere else, so finally gave in and tried it. (sorry, don't remember where I read it). My choco-chick had a "sensitive" personality. I fed 1 Parasite worm on a day when I got the "perky" message. The next day, the personality had changed to "Enigmatic".
1 worm is hardly a good test sample, but it added weight to what I had read elsewhere.
Maybe people who aren't happy with their chocobo can use it and maybe salvage their chicken before they abort it.Originally Posted by liafail
Day 56, after update. My chocobo finally got a personality and weather prefence. Also dinged average endurance today.

Hope this one turns out better than the first... definitely not gonna feed it any worms. Should be interesting to see how much effect the update had.
Mine likes clear weather as well on day 58. I wonder if you can trade a chococard to someone and they can turn it in so you can ride their chocobo? o.O
You need a VCS registration card to register one to ride. Those probably are rare/ex.Originally Posted by Akiyama
On another note...
Day 58, my chocobo all of a sudden has "a very easygoing personality, making it easy to care for".
As a chick, I had "an enigmatic personalty, making it hard to know what the animal is thinking" for a day or two then it disappeared.
My chocobo has been personalityless since then (50ish days), and now all of a sudden it has an easygoing personality.
Odd.
I also hit Impressive discernment today. Better than Average receptivity, but that should bump up a notch here pretty soon.
No one figured how to escape this evil thing? Or did we really reach the cap for our chocobo?Originally Posted by Celeras
I'm at Outstanding Strength, A bit Deficient Endurance. Will probably cap off the Strength to First-Class, then register it to ride, retire it and start on a new one. Do you keep your VCS card when you keep it so you can swap out which one to ride? As in with multiple retired chocobos and what not, or do they just kinda go away. x.x
What's its affection? Have you been riding it? What care plans have you been on? What do you do for "Care for your chocobo"? What do you feed it?Originally Posted by Kaylia
Maybe there's some reason its being stubborn like that.

Anyway, been a week now since I try different program, but no result. I usually do "take a walk" and spend some time with him (first option, forgot the name). I give him Azouph green, ,gysalh, and the another green I forgot.
My chocobo went from highest affection level to "like you a bit" in 2weeks, probably because he is always love sick.
For the record, my chocobo is max stat discernment (first class) and I still don't seem to notice a difference in digging performance =P
I am still not retiring him yet, I will try to slowly raise his physical stats too.
Kaylia, even the NPCs say that it's not good for the chocobos to fail their activities, and if they do you should try something simpler (e.g., a program for the same stat but with a smaller arrow up), or at least alternate. I also noticed the fastest increases when he was successful in his tasks, and pauses in growth if i let it fail repeatedly.
Also "likes you a bit" is very low, you should raise his affection too. Watch over him, take the long walk, and give him s.greens to raise affection.
Only reason I'm gonna retire mine after it gets First-Class strength is because I want a colorful bird.
Like I said, that's what I'm doing for 1 week now, and his condition is still going downhillOriginally Posted by genome
I suppose some people might be interested in this, so Ill post my experience:
I deactivated my account on day 2, and came back today (day )
When I went and spoke to Pulonono again, she took me through his ENTIRE growth process, and it was as such:
The first week was as to be expected, I still had plans set up for it. After that, it went,

you get the picture.
Twice it got sick, but it got over it in a matter of a day.
Funnily enough, on day 43 it said:
"You did a really super job raising this chocobo! Now is the best time to improve its attributes."
Finally it got to day 58 (today) and said:
"Bonbon doesnt seem lonely anymore.
Afraid it's stopped caring about you now?
Hey dont look at me for an answer... I dont speak Chocobo, you know!"
Your chocobo is a female!
STR: Poor
Endurance: Poor
Discernment: Poor
Receptivity: Poor
Regarding affection, it seems to not care about you at all.
Also, your chocobo seems to be starving.
It has a very easygoing personality, making it easy to care for.
Your chocobo likes clear weather, and doesnt seem to mind any kind of weather.
Last of all, your animal doesnt seem to know any abilities.
Im gonna make a great dad some day!
I think the easygoing personality and clear weather are now the default choices for chocobos. (Used to be no personality and no weather preference.)
Kaylia, I was having the same problem with affection slippage for no apparent reason. I started feeding my chocobos 6 Sharug Greens a day, taking the long walk, reading stories, and watching over until it is out of energy. It took a while but I am solidly back up to parent status.
That's interesting. They changed it. It used to say that your chocobo's abilities were at their peak. It confused some people into believing you couldn't raise their stats anymore.Originally Posted by Delekii
that is just the same as no personality no weather preference as before update. they changed wording aroundOriginally Posted by Issac
i thought it for like a day till ppl stats changed after that message.Originally Posted by Khamsin
