Yeah, please ask SE why did they make a REGION that made 1 job useless? I was dissapointed you couldnt charm anything in sea. Hell, Hpemde/Ghrah's would be decent pets.Originally Posted by Keftenk

Actually, I believe the code for something like this already exists in the game.Originally Posted by BRP

they should do the same window as Shikigami, exact DT doesn't matter as much. people will not waste away camping for 3 hours if their LS doesn't get claim.Originally Posted by nivlakian
if people can be in and out and do something else when they lose claim they would be less irritated.
How is KS99 Wyrm easy if you don't have boatloads of Blm, Smn or Rngs?
When it goes flying it tears shit up no?
Damn I guess my idea about going to the bar and saying "Hey I have an Ebody" The girl says whats that? Then I say "I'll show you when we get to my place" wont work ><Originally Posted by Siatdiat
Sorry for the useless post. Got ebody yesterday after 2 years of camping and I'm very happy about it.
wow, nice job with the interview. The exp bonus in old areas, and the wyrm/fafnir suggestion, were mostly what i wanted to see changed. If they made the old merit camps just as good, it would be such a relief that your PT would finally be able to travel somewhere without the worry of possibly overcrowding. thanks again :D
Instance sky so that its pops are on a 4~5 day window for your shell.
Make say a KS300 where it takes multiple orbs, let that drop loot out of the king loot table.
Maybe try?Originally Posted by frozenx

Edit: Opps! Thanks for info Bercus. Kinda what we all expected, but at least you tried. Maybe the E-Mails will give a little more info!
there's no reason to go all crazy with the pop items from killing 1000 statues or whatever, just make them bc or ks fights (or IS or CP)
even for the most avid soloers 99 Beastman Seals or 30 Kindred Seals are not a piece of cake to come by.
and 99 seals for a 5% chance at the drop you wanted just means you have a chance at the drop you wanted instead of a chance at a chance to get the drop you wanted
personally I think all emails will do is inform them of what we want, PR people will still bar them from releasing any info SE doesn't want us to know.
No they will only be impressed if you make one out of cardboard, duct tape and purple spray paint. Then wear that shit to the da club and pick up all da fine bitches.....Originally Posted by Suds

There's a number of possible solutions. Even possibly some sort of combination of the handout with the above suggestion.Originally Posted by Khamsin
You could always make the NMs spawn as NPCs. If someone with a certain item like the orbs is there it will aggro them and immediately turn claimed and stay locked as claimed until everyone on the hate list is dead or the mob is dead. Think of the orb as making the dragon interested in you. Otherwise, he knows he can kill you. You're like the rabbits you run by in Sarabaruta. Yeah you could kill them but they're not worth your time.
Once the mob aggros you, the item is changed or gone from your inventory. If you wipe the NM turns back into an NPC and someone else can manage to get claim.
Make the drop rate on the items such that out of say a normal LS with 18 people there 3 or 4 of them would have the item. Make it EX to stop trading to level 1 mules or selling of them.
Fix the clipping issue with spiders so that people observing can't cause spike flails.
Make the spawn time 21 hours exactly. Canning the 3 hour windows. Allowing people to show up at the right time do it and then leave.
I'd say you'd have the best of both worlds. Claims aren't botted but rotate around somewhat based on luck and also on the degree of effort your LS is willing to put into getting the items. Hardcore LS'es will spend the effort to have more members with the item. Not so hardcore LS'es will have fewer but still have a chance to fight. You still get a chance to see other LSes fight. It still keeps the spirit of the NM spawning in an open area.
They don't have to alter the drop pools because the spawn rate is the same. They don't have to alter the maps. All they have to do is alter the behavior of the NMs and add an item that drops in a few places. Requires very little art asset work, if any (they could be lazy and just use the BC orb icons).
Maybe instead of randomly aggroing someone who has an orb in their inventory, perhaps the first person to run up to the HNM and trade it an orb gets claim.
That way, you can make an
/targetnpc
/item "Fafnir Orb" <t>
macro, spam it, and when the HNM pops, you run up to it and try to be the first person to trade.
This way, claim is handled server side like was suggested. The server sees that you traded it an orb, and so awards claim to you.
Wouldnt bots still claim first that way.
BRP's ideas are better then this shit, way better
All this reworking the way we encounter 3 Kings is needless if they just put better gear on newer HNMs.
Yes, but at least claim would be handled server side!Originally Posted by Woyn

IronyEveryone is saying that after reading the interview, their impression of SE has lowered, but I'm really not impressed by the interviewer. He's asking questions that may be too technical for Sundi to answer (the zoning thing) And well, most of his questions aren't that great either.
More interesting or important questions to ask for me, would have been:
You say you want to open more sub job options for the warrior class, what are you thinking of doing? Would you make it so that the monk's martial arts trait applies to any weapon, rather than just to H2H weapons?
Will a Dragoon's wyvern ever grow up to be Guivre sized or close to it? If so, will dragoon's ever be able to rid their wyverns like a chocobo in areas that allow chocobos? Or don't allow chocobos?
Will the dark knight job get a job trait similar to the 2 hand grip ability in FFT to increase two handed weapon damage? Will the other two handed user jobs (sam, war, drg) get it as well?
Many players are stumped as to how to beat certain monsters, Absolute Virtue for instance. Could you tell us anything as to how your development team works? Do they all have fully upgraded relic weapons? Do they get to use spells and abilities that are still in development and not available to general FF players?
Would you add fairly weak party buff abilities at lvl 35, similar to the Warriors Warcry, for the jobs that don't have any? For example, a slighty weaker AoE regen I similar to FF9's Reis's Wind.
There are many complaints about difficulties in the game, for instance that a certain mission might be too hard, making money is too hard, etc. Do you have people who play regularly on normal servers who act as quality control? People from SE, who do not get any help from SE, who go through the game as a normal player would, who can see and understand some of the difficulties that players go through?
Will we ever get the Phoenix as a summon?
Currently, either warrior or thief are the only two subs that most damage dealing jobs consider (mnk, drg, drk, sam, anything i'm forgetting) Are you planning on adding new abilities/traits to any of the other DD jobs to make them more attractive as a sub job?
There are 8 questions, with a few sub questions in there, that I think would have been far better to ask than, will we ever fight Micky Mouse?
I'm sorry if I am coming across as being too harsh and critical, but really, you get the privilage to ask questions of the game designers, and you ask those questions? Not only that, but I hear other people asking those same questions over and over again at the various FF conventions, so it seems like most of it is not even anything new.
