I'm not really surprised by any of the responses here. You shoul have lied and said you were from Zam and maybe their response set would have changed drammatically. Thanks for trying though.

It sounds like they actually listened and that's good, but no mention of nerfing ryko makes me sad.
I don't think they understood half of what he was trying to say, and they mistook most of what he asked as trying to make the game easier. If their idea of making the game difficult is dependent on the player base fucking each other over then maybe they are smarter than I thought. What an ideal way to save money instead of relying on the programmers to work that difficulty in themselves. The players will do it for free.Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus

In a lot of ways people are trying to make the game easier, no denying that. Whenever people want to know the 'real' way to kill AV they want it easier. When people say they want all jobs to be as powerful as WAR or MNK they want it easier.Originally Posted by Norelco
One question for bercus though: Was there a translator? Or were you all conducting the interview using a 2nd language.
Very nicely handled interview on your part Bercus
I wonder if part of the Dev's work involves actually "playing" their own game
Then they'd how much flucking flun it is to deal with a 24+ hour spawn, hoping someone has a TOD or can get one and if they do they aren't just screwing with you, then dealing with a 2-6hr window of macro spamming just to have a chance at outpulling everyone else (best case non hax scenario -_- ).
And since they don't want everyone to have some of that stuff, I'd also like to know if when they play a game do they aspire to medocrity?

Be careful every thread in KI = flame wars. Even the worldpass ones.Dak_ :
You kept asking invasive questions even when they were obviously dodging the ones they weren't allowed to or couldn't comment on, and they were all a bit too serious and seemed a bit self centered. I'm not sure if any of the problems you mentioned affect you, but you made it seem as if they did. I think you pressed them a little too hard.
Maybe next time you could loosen the questions up a bit and give them more room to answer.
Read: "You found something you like. That's great. We're going to change it now."Is there going to be any adjustment for Signet bonuses and repop time in older Areas? And do you plan in putting new Rewards for Conquest Points?
Saori : I think that works for our intention to get those Areas crowded, but we wanted the people to go to the new Areas,
Bercus : But everyone goes to the new areas, cause its so cool and easy to get high chains and a get lot of exp there.
Saori : That’s what we did expect in the beginning, so now we will change that
And their reasoning of forcing PC users to run at full screen is fucking bullshit. They claim they want the user experience match that of the PS2 and Xbox360 and that it will also deter the use of illegal third party programs.
1. What's stopping console users from sitting next to a computer and looking up information?
2. Bercus told the guy IN THE QUESTION that full window mode does not hinder the use of these third party tools.
Like I said, I was asking in English, then they translated for the Vice President who seemed to be a Developer into Japanese, then they all talked Japanese >.< and then I got the answer in English from Saori in Interview #2. Interview #1 was in English only between me and SUNDIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIBANZAI.Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus

Damn you for trying to help a segment of the population Bercus! We must coddle the dev team, they break easy.
Let a few people have a try at the Japanese or maybe post the audio.Originally Posted by bercus

Just a little sidenote, you do get accuracy from /check <t> when it tells you if a mob is low/none/high evasion for meleeOriginally Posted by bercus
Putting it in a status window wouldn't work because it is different for every mob you engage and further varies every time a buff or debuff is applied. Unless you meant to have your relative acc vs. a mobs displayed like it's HP is displayed always updating for the player to view when the mob is targeted.
Any time you want a melee accuracy check (or attack check) you would use the /check command and you will get your accuracy or attack rating vs. that mob within a reasonable amount
It's Roughly
65-75% accuracy for something that checks as IT high evasion
75-85% accuracy for something that checks as IT
85-95% accuracy for something that checks as IT low evasion
With some mods besides the /check rating that skew that, kinda like Toramas even at low evasion may be on the low side of the 85-95% rate, and things like level difference penalties.
And 95% accuracy is the cap I believe, honestly knowing more than which tier you fall into isn't particularly helpful if you are splitting hairs between 90% acc and 92% acc isn't going to make a difference in anything other than long exp/merit sessions that are parsed.
Attack is curved based and has no cap (afaik) like accuracy does other than the damage cap?
Evasion has a cap similar to accuracy btw (which I'm sure most people here know).
What FF really needs is a /check command for Ranged attacks and magic attacks.
GG Bercus, even though unsurprisingly they were about as useful as a trap door in a canoe.
It truely is amazing the lack of...well...caring from the Dev team towards issues that actually mean something to the playerbase. You'd think they would want satisfied customers >.>
He meant your total acc. Represented as an integer. Your acc doesn't vary; a mob's evasion does as you go from t - vt - it, etc.Originally Posted by levish

He asked why players weren't allowed to see their own hidden stats such as Accuracy. What that Accuracy means relative to a mob is independant, and irrelevant, to the question.
Just like being able to see our Attack score is independant of how that compares to mobs via /check. He just wants to see those hidden stats.
Making KS99 drop similar loot would be easier to implement than putting these NMs in through ISNMs, considering KS99 already drops Black Belt items. I'm not sure if having Chlevnik having a loot pool with Defending Ring chance would be too much, but if it was the same % as say, Unsho, then it wouldn't be a problem, and I don't think the 3 kings system would need to be changed as long as they gave KS99 a viable option as well.
A lot of people have over 30k Imperial Standing as long as they merit fairly consistently, or level new jobs in the new aras (which depending on the job just complicates the demand for the same items), so spending some Imperial Standing for the orbs to fight those NMs would not be a problem for many players, and would be a little too easy to enter. I have 25k Imperial Standing, and I just recently got a Trooper's Ring for my Bard which costs 8k IS, and I spent about 7k IS on gold coins to sell not too long before that.
Eitherway, it's kind of good to see that they took that diagram. This forum's a good representation of why major loot needs tweaking, a lot of people browse these forums during hnm windows, most of mine are just during windows. I'm at KB while typing this...
nice work bercus :D
Now let's just hope they actually payed attention ><;
If they do let you send 10 questions a month maybe you should make an officla thread for people to post ideas. Also make sure to mention rmt and botting/kings each month XD

GOGO KI.
My point is that it's not independant of the target but I guess I could see the usefulness of it if you knew the target and the scores it hit tiers beforehand and you wanted to min/max a set of equipment.Originally Posted by TsingTao

I know you probably have alot to think about and organize but when you do send the e-mail to them would it be possible to add a question about why they pay so much attention to forums like Allakhazam which is owned by an RMT company and not as much attention to good engame forums like BG?
