well if you look at it this way. the MAB will be in effect with every single nuke you do. while static will only be in effect during MB's and ye the damage will be very very nice im sure. what about the hundreds of other nukes over time? it will not be in effect then. the damage added up over time from the MAB's will be greater. but thats not really even the point haha its between static and magnetic.

XP in TP spam parties. Know a few things about mob TP accumulation and usage and you can actually be quite an effective addition.

Why are people comparing Novio vs. Static? Last I checked there are 2 ear slots... Novio and Moldy for normal nukes, Novio and Static on MB. 5% is significantly better than MAB+5. Abyssal still for drain/aspir/bio.

For whatever its worth, I use Novio + static on magic bursts, and Novio + moldavite for straight nukes..

I still wish I had picked Ethereal for my Paladin

My friend uses Novio and Moldy for Drain etc too because he says he sees more from MaB than the 5 skill.

JoL has always seemed to have a pretty good droprate as far as sea is considered though. For my LS: only one kill with nothing but a Halberd (and I don't even want to count how many other outside Jailers with nothing but the weapon). 3/5 Novio, 3/5 Torque, and 1/5 Novia (got our first on the latest kill). Almost a flipflop of yours, just random that it was more Novios.

MAB doesn't do shit for drain/aspir, I'm reasonably certain of it. Etherial is definitely far and away the best earring of the 4, but only for the 3-4 job combos that benefit from it. If you don't have or don't intend to ever level PLD, NIN/DRK, DRG/WHM, or maybe another combo I'm not thinking of at the moment, and you want to pick the earring that will best benefit your BLM, go with static.

If you're a BLM with Novio, and your other MAB comes from say Weskit, Ugg pendant, Yigit feet, and 5/5 merits in the potency of the spell you're casting (let's assume you're using AF2 on MB and not Zenith), that's MAB of 65 with Job Trait. Using Static in the other ear slot on MB is the equivalent of just over MAB+8 with that setup compared to MAB+5 from Moldavite. That's what makes it the best earring for BLM, but if you've got one of the jobs I listed above, maybe that extra 3 MAB isn't enough for you to want it over etherial, which is understandable.
